Kiseki
Long ago, in a small, and unknown village, a miracle happened. A lonely young scientist created a robot. She was beautiful, smart, and talented, but she was missing something...
A heart
She never smiled, or laughed.
She never cried, or got angry.
The scientist tried to teach her the emotions of humans, but she never seemed to understand.
Years passed.
The scientist was old now, and still very lonely.
No matter how hard he tried, the little robot did not understand emotions.
He was going to die soon, and the robot would continue to run, never understanding the joys of happyness...
"Incoming Message"
The scientist watched in wonder as the robot showed him a holagram.
In the holagram, there she was, the robot was there.
She was smiling, but tears ran down her eyes, her mouth was moving and the lovliest voice one could imagine could be heard.
"Arigatou"
Her smile widened and she reached out toward him, repeating her thanks over and over.
"Thank you too"
Before he died, the scientist gave the little robot a name...
"Kiseki"
The hologram ended, and the scientist died with a content smile on his face.
