Hi! I translated another fanfiction. I'm looking for a beta reader (DM me) for this story, so reading makes it easier for you without the many mistakes. Nevertheless, I publish the first chapter, so you know what it is about.

Summary: Fourteen years after the fifth season. Jay is dealing with an unplanned consequence of a old undercover case. By the way Hank is retired and Antonio is the boss of Intelligence.

Going out sirens and flashing lights of police cars and ambulances enveloped an otherwise quiet street. Once again it was one of these domestic violence deployments on a warm summer night that did not end well. Patrolmen generously spared the area around an apartment complex with the help of cordon tape, in order to keep the spectators away from the crime scene. People in white protective suits, who were on the forensics, marched up the stairs to a small apartment. Kevin Atwater and Kim Burgess rang door-to-door and tried to record testimonies. Many of them were unwilling to help, leaving the detectives unaware.

"Oh my God." Erin whispered, clinging to her husband as she saw paramedics leading a bloodied boy to the ambulance. The boy squatted down on the step while the paramedics performed final examinations.

"Erin. You mustn't take such cases personally." Jay whispered and turned her slightly to him, so she does not stare at this boy.

"I know, but such cases almost break my heart."

"I know." Jay mumbled, tenderly stroking his wife's upper arm.

"Adam, what happened?" Erin asked.
"The boy's mother was murdered." he swallowed hard, "Antonio wants us to take the boy to the station. He has seen the act and is being held in protective custody. The offender is on the run."

"We'll do it." Erin said.

"I'm coming with you. Jay, Antonio wants to talk to you." Adam muttered.

Jay nodded confused, not knowing why he should not accompany his partner and wife.

His breath caught at the doorbell of the apartment. Vega. With slow steps he approached his sergeant, who was kneeling before the body of a woman.

"Camila Vega. She was stabbed several times." Antonio explained before he pulled himself up and looked at his colleague. Jay struggled to look him in the staring eyes, his gaze was always on the dead woman with whom he once had a little affair.

"She has a son, Jesse Vega. He's thirteen years old." Antonio hissed, "I didn't miss the fact that you slept with her fourteen years ago."

"Toni. That is nonsense. I'm not the father. I was careful." Jay tried to talk himself out. He understood immediately what his boss was getting at. Still, he was determined to challenge this probable fact. He is happy with his present life. This boy could destroy everything he has built up over the years. Erin would most likely freak out when she learns of this one night stand.

"Look at the pictures. The boy looks almost like you. You're doing a DNA test and you should talk to Erin."

Reluctantly, Jay nodded. He trotted outside behind his sergeant. On the way, his eyes fell on a picture of the boy. He actually looked a bit like him at that age, but most of all he had that familiar grin.
