Ring-ring-ring!
The old phone in my mother's office rang. I could sense it was Josh. My heart pounded. I picked up the old gray phone, holding my breath.
"Hello?"
" Yes, they said yes!" Josh shouted happily
"NO WAY! OH MY GOSH JOSH!" (No pun intended)
" It only took my 5 minutes to convince them. And best of all… I start in 3 weeks! Right after my semester at Roosevelt High!"
There were no word just, " Wow!"
"Oh sweetie, my parents are calling me down for dinner"
"Okay sweetie, I love you so much Josh"
"Love you too!"
I hanged up the phone, just smiling.
I turned to mom with her fingers crossed, pacing across the room.
"Yes! They said yes!"
Mom ran across the room to hug me, "Oh Cam! I can't believe it!"
As I walked down the endless hallway, I saw a dark shadow in the window in my dark room. I tip-toed as fast as I could. Opening my dorm's room door.
Suddenly! I felt a hand covering my mouth and one around my waist. I thought of a move to munover myself out and hopefully kicking who ever in the gut. I screamed softly in the person hand. Then looked up to see those beautiful eyes beating down to mine.
"Josh?" I whispered
"Shhhh" Josh said
"What are you doing here?"
"I couldn't help myself, I guess"
"Huh, that's okay. I mean how can I be mad at you with that amazing news?"
I reached my lips up to his. We stood there together for a minute. All the sudden I heard steps in the hall. That sounded like one of my teachers.
I took Josh's hand and rushed in the closet.
"Stay here! And be quite!" I whispered
I crawled softly in bed. Throwing the covers over my head. I heard Josh laughing in the small closet. The footsteps seemed to dissolve in the hall.
I sliped out bed rushing to the closet. I opened the closet seeing Josh all
squished in with a smirk.
"Hey! " he waved sarcasticly
I looked down on my watch, "I think your little outing is over sir!"
Smiling he got out and reached for me giving m his huge bear hug.
"Good night Cammie"
"Night Josh"
"Love ya!" he said climbing out the window
"Love you!"
I waved then closed the window.
I changed in my Pajamas then crawled in bed. Closing my eyes, I fell asleep so happy no word can explain.
