She smiles
But what does the smile hide?
She's killed and she's stolen,
she's laughed and she's cried.
She sleeps
But what do her dreams hold?
The kisses are warm,
but the bodies are cold.
Her children
What secrets will they never know?
"There they were lying,
dead in the snow."
Her hands
What deeds have they done?
They've slaughtered and healed,
They've embraced and they've shunned.
Mockingjay
Whatever happened to our Mockingjay?
Whatever happened when it was your day?
The glory and fame, but what was the price?
All of us know, you've paid for it twice.
Thank you for reading my poem! For some reason, it's a lot easier for me to channel a character's emotions into a poem rather than a story so... That's what I did! This is set basically whenever the epilogue in Mockingjay is set.
