Prologue:
From the Datalogs of Dr. Thomas Xavier Light:
The progress of Albert and I into the subject of nanomachines has proved enlightening. While Albert was reluctant to pause our research in the field of robotics, I believe nanomachines might be just as, if not more, productive.
I have thought about the consequences of creating semi-sentient robots to work as labor. While there are countless possibilities, both good and bad, I have come to a certain conclusion. If robots become the new norm for workers in all sorts of jobs, then this may inevitably result in an increase in the number of unemployed human workers.
A nanomachine suit, on the other hand, could increase the productivity of labor while retaining the same amount of human workers. It is my hope that with this shift in research, we can make this world better for all, not just a select few.
However, there is still the inevitable possibility of someone attempting to use this technology for their own gain. However, this is the unavoidable danger of any new technology, and regardless I think that the creation of the suits is for the best.
And if someone does use the technology of the suits for evil...I have the confidence that for every evil man in the world, there exists a good one in kind.
