Howdy! I have yet another Snow x Lightning fic to share with you all. This is a sequel to "Imperfect For Each Other" which could be found in my one-shot series "1000 Ways to Fall in Love". Many of you seemed to like that particular one-shot the best, and I had ideas for a continuation for some time. Speaking of my one-shot series, I am not giving up on it. I just had so much going on that finding the time to work on it just never happened. One story is already in the works, and I have the second one planned after that, so do be on the look out.

Don't forget to favorite, follow, and review. As a writer it really means a lot to know that there's interest in my work, and I love hearing from my readers. If you have a request for a one-shot please just let me know and I'll get around to it whenever I can.

Prologue: Is This Goodbye?

"YOU IDIOT!"

Slap!

His head was turned away from her, his cheek stinging with angry red. He couldn't look at her. The pain in her voice and the sight of tears streaming down her perfect face was too much to bare.

"I should've known all of this was too good to be true! As if you could ever change!"

"Light, I. . . ," he couldn't mask the pain in his voice. Even in his own eyes liquid began to pool. But his hurt was nothing compared to hers. So much faith she'd put in him, and in an instant it was all gone.

Her every emotion was written across her face; embarrassment, anger, but most importantly heartbreak. It wasn't suppose to be that way, they weren't suppose to be that way. Things were perfect. "Just go!"

"Please, just let me explain. . . ," he pleaded.

"Get out of my house, Snow!" Her arm forcefully jutted out, a delicate finger pointing towards her home's exit. "I never want to see you again!"

Dejectedly he turned away from her, booted feet seeming more like heavy weights as he dragged them along towards the door. Lightning had been mad at him before, but never like this, and he wasn't sure if there would ever be any way to earn her forgiveness. "I've changed," he deeply released, "I know I have. . . you know I have." His hand hovered over the doorknob, hesitant was he to turn it. Doing so may have meant never seeing her again. "I love you."

"Shut up and get out," she didn't want to hear any of it. Actions meant a lot more than words, and it took more than a simple "I love you" to right his wrongs.

In a sudden burst of rage, he swung that door open allowing it to loudly slam against the wall prompting a hanging ornament to smash onto the floor, broken remnants scattering across the hard wood. He stormed off, disappearing into the blinding light of the mid-morn.

A sob escaped her, and she slapped a hand to her mouth. But it was too late. The dam had already ruptured and there was nothing to halt the spilling of her heart.

I'm not sure how long this particular fic is going to be, but I hope you all come to enjoy it. I've missed writing a great deal, and I'm going to make more of an effort to find the time to do it. I've just been so discombobulated lately. Some fics will be updated before and more frequently than others. It's all just dependent on what I'm inspired to write at the time.
