Summary- Certain events lead to Glenda being sent to a psych ward. What happens while she's there and how will she and Barry cope with it when she gets out? What happens when she discovers that the last person she expected to have anything in common with is just like her?
Disclaimer- I don't own LOTSW. I only own the plot.
A/N- This was written from my own experiences, so there is going to be some OOC, but I'm going to try to keep everyone in character as much as possible. Also, this chapter is only the prologue, the next chapters will be longer.
Barry stared at Glenda from across the waiting room of Holmfirth Psychiatric Hospital. She was staring at the floor. Her makeup was badly smeared and her eyes were red and puffy from crying. She looked so terrified. He wanted nothing more than to get her out of here and take her home. If he hadn't signed a contract stating that he'd be responsible for transporting her to the hospital, he'd do just that.
I'm sorry, Glenda. I'm so sorry. He thought.
He was sorry. He was sorry for not realizing that something was wrong sooner. He was sorry for letting her get to the point where she needed to be hospitalized. Most of all, he was sorry for not giving her the attention that she needed.
He went back to the paperwork in his lap. "Briefly describe events that led to hospitalization" He read to himself.
That was going to be a hard one to fill in. Glenda's whole life was probably filled with events that led to this. How could he possibly begin to describe it?
