Addison isn't –really- gone until PP starts, so I get to keep writing about her. Just a short little conversation between Callie and Addison.
Wedding Bells
Callie O'Malley and Addison Montgomery sat silently on the steps of the church, watching the people walk past. Addison was twirling a cigarette in her hands, a habit she only indulged when she was nervous, disappointed, or sleeping with Mark Sloan. As a doctor, it seemed hypocritical to actually smoke, but every so often she enjoyed the feel of the stick between her fingers. Callie had crossed her arms and was staring vacantly at the street.
"I look hideous."
"You look nice."
"No, I don't. I look hideous and they didn't even get married. I look hideous for nothing."
"You were never a bridesmaid in the eighties. Big puffy sleeves and neon. Bright neon. And aqua."
Callie cringed.
"You seem bothered."
"We tried for a baby today. Do you know how weird it is to think that I could have a person in me right now?"
"Not nearly as weird as having one sneak up on you."
She smiled slightly. "Good old Sloan."
"Well, maybe not 'good'..."
"He didn't come today."
"Sloan?"
"George."
"Oh."
"I wouldn't have noticed, if it wasn't for Stevens. She was watching for him like a dog. I think she's…"
"You think she's your Meredith Grey."
Callie nodded. "What do you think?"
"I think we need a day for drinking."
