So, this is my first htgawm fanfic, ENJOY! :D

"Do you ever regret it?" Oliver's cheerful chatter is swiftly cut off mid-sentence when the question suddenly falls out of his boyfriend's mouth. He stops chopping the vegetables for tonight's dinner and looks over at Connor where's he's sitting on the couch. But Connor isn't looking at him anymore. His eyes are glued to the books scattered around him. The books that he, apparently, hasn't paid any attention to in quite some time.

"What do you mean? Regret what?" Oliver asks warily, frowning as Connor keeps refusing to look at him. It takes a long agonizing moment before Connor manages to speak again.

"Us," he says quietly, and the word hits Oliver like a bullet.

"Con-"

"Living together!" Connor hurries himself to explain as he hears the hurt in Oliver's voice, his eyes flickering up to the other boy. "I mean living together, not dating. Us living together."

"What do you mean?" Oliver asks again, still at loss of the unexpected topic. They had lived happily together for months now, why would Connor suddenly ask him if he regretted it? Did he regret it?

"Do you regret it?" Connor repeats and slowly meets Oliver's gaze. "Do you ever regret us living together?"

"W-why would you ask me this?" Oliver stutters and Connor's gaze flickers down at the floor for a moment. Suddenly Oliver realizes how it might look, how it might sound. Some people might say Oliver is avoiding the question. Which he most definitely is not. He's just shocked, baffled by it. But as he sees the ever so rarely insecurity once more flare to life in Connor's eyes, he realizes that's exactly what his boyfriend thinks he's doing.

"Why would I regret it?" Oliver counters, walking around the counter.

"Well, I-... I never really asked you if you wanted to." Connor admits and his mouths twists in shame. "I mean, technically I didn't even give you a chance to say no. I decided it. So I just-... I don't know, I just need to know if you have any regrets."

"Connor," Oliver breaths, his voice thick with emotion, and makes his way over to the couch. Sitting down he grabs the other man's hands in his. "I love living together. I mean, sure it was- it was quite a surprise. But a good one. This," he rubs his thumbs on Connor's hands as he looks him in the eyes. "This is what I want. I love you."

Connor smiles softly, squeezing his hands.

"I love you too, Ollie." he whispers and they both lean in, connecting their lips in a gentle kiss that just makes everything feel right. Oliver is not sure how long it last, just that he doesn't want it to end. Though they slowly pull away again, and Oliver gaze travels over to the abandoned food.

"Maybe we should get back to dinner?" he suggests and chuckles lightly. Though suddenly Connor's confidence is back full force as his mouth twists into smirk.

"Or maybe I have a better idea."

Before Oliver even has time to think, Connor's mouth is back on his, more forceful this time. His tongue teasingly runs over Oliver's bottom lip, begging for access -which the other man most contently gives him. And despite the low grumble of his stomach at the postponed dinner, Oliver can't say he's complaining as Connor pushes him down on the couch, a few books falling to the floor in the process.

No, he doesn't regret it.

The End.
