Castiel was leaning against a brick wall, hands in his pockets and eyes wide open. His trench coat was waving around at the ends, due to the cold wind from January. Snow was falling on top of his head, melting as soon as the flakes touched his hair.

If it wasn't for Dean Winchester, he would be very cold now. Dean was pressing his lips against Castiel's, warm and soft. Maybe it would have been great, if Castiel wasn't totally overwhelmed and did know how to respond, but he obviously didn't. He stood there, enjoying the moment but not realizing what to do. When Dean pulled back, he looked hurt.

"Damn you, Cas." he said, and he took off, shoulders hanging and face flushed. He damned himself for even trying to kiss the angel, knowing it would end bad but unable to resist the temptation. Now he had lost his strongest ally when it came to battle, he had also lost his best friend which whom he just had to share a look and the angel would know how Dean felt.

In the meantime, Castiel felt very strange: sad, angry and desperate. He went to Sam for some advice because he didn't dare to face Dean now. He found the younger Winchester in Bobby's library, researching for a job in the town nearby.

"Sam? Can I talk to you?"

Sam looked up from his book and saw that Castiel seemed deeply depressed.

"Sure Cas, what's going on? Are you hurt?"

"No, but something just happened and I think I have hurt your brother's feelings."

"He kissed you, didn't he?" Sam asked, slightly excited too because finally he didn't have to handle the eyesex anymore and he was happy for his brother. Secretly he punched his fist into the air under the table. He stopped that when he saw Castiel's look.

"So what happened? Did you like it?"

"I don't know. I did not know what to do. Can you teach me?"

Sam choked and chuckled at the same time, making a very strange noise between a laugh and a cough. Castiel frowned. If you did not know how to do something, you should learn it, right? Instead, Sam laughed at him and threw a DVD at him. He checked the cover, which said 'Casa Erotica'. He remembered Gabriel talking about it.

"Go watch that and after that, go to Dean." Sam said, smiling in himself.

So Castiel did. He did not know why the girl was biting the man: she didn't look like a vampire or a werewolf. Just when the subtitles kicked in, Dean came in. He didn't talk to Castiel as he used to do before the kiss, he just sat down next to him and crossed his legs, resting his feet on the table.

"Dean.." Castiel attempted to say, but his voice was low and gravy because his throat was so dry.

"It's fine, Cas. Never mind. I won't disturb you anymore." Dean snapped. "What were you watching?"

Castiel was done with the thoughts that Dean didn't like him. Dean liked him, that was certain, but the angel was so stupid to not show that he liked him too. It was time for a change. He never felt more scared than now. Facing Lucifer, raising Dean from perdition, killing demons and hellhounds: he would've done it a thousand more times to just be able to skip this moment. But he couldn't, it might be the only chance left before Dean would really hate him.

In order to that, Castiel crawled towards Dean, face just centimetres away from his. Dean's gorgeous green eyes had a confused haze. He raised his eyebrows a little, asking for permission. Castiel gave a slight little nod, and they were off. Dean grabbed the angel's hair and pulled him close, kissing him again. The difference was that Castiel knew what do to. He kissed Dean back, full of passion and love. When Dean pulled back after a couple of minutes, Castiel was all dizzy and Dean was trembling. Sam watched them from the doorpost, smiling because they hadn't noticed he was there and because they were finally together.
