"Can you calm down?" Sirius asked feeling his own anxiety rise just from watching his mate pace back and forth for a solid ten minutes now.

"I can't! I know I'm going to fail that flying final. I spent all morning riding that bloody broomstick and fell of many times. I am only good when it comes to books. Not these practical things. Merlin! I'm going to fail my first test!" Remus panicked. He felt his hands getting sweaty and his heartbeat racing. He really couldn't face failure.

Sirius could see his friend on the verge of breaking down so he dropped the muggle baseball James gave him on his bed and made his way to Remus. He stood in front him. He held onto the smaller boys shoulders. "You're going to do fine, Moony. Just breathe, okay. I was there when you were practicing and you weren't half bad. I saw you. You'll pass no problem. Sure neither of us ride brooms at a James standard but we definitely can pass a damn test. Especially you" he said trying to sooth Remus.

"No. You're a lot more skilled at flying than I am. You'll pass. I won't. Oh Merlin - I can't... I can't fail" Remus burst out continuing to hyperventilate.

At this moment Sirius did not know what to do. Remus was a panicky mess and wouldn't listen to a word he was saying. He gently took the boys hand in his and looked at him. "Love listen. If you really think I am better how about we go outside and practice together. I'll help you brush up on whatever you think I can. I already think you'll do great but if me helping gets you to feel confident about the test then I want to do it" he said softly looking into the other boys eyes.

Remus felt his rapid heart beat slow down but his cheeks got slightly tinted with red. He adored when Sirius was always this understanding and loving to him. It made him absolutely melt. "Thank you. Seriously that helps a lot" Remus beamed already feeling himself relax.

"Anything for you. Okay? I hate seeing you get so down on yourself. Especially when you're one of the smartest boys I know" Sirius smiled.

Remus grinned then moved one of the long pieces of hair in Sirius' face behind his ear, leaning in to hug him tight. "I can always count on you" he smiled just enjoying the hug.

Sirius hugged his mate back tightly and stayed in the embrace for awhile. When he pulled back their faces were only inches apart, their noses brushing up against eachother. "Hi" he whispered his breath against Remus' lips.

"Hi" Remus smiled, biting down his lip.

As soon as his friend did that Sirius leaned forward, planting a soft kiss onto Remus' lips.

This surprised Remus but did not stop him from kissing Sirius back. His hand was resting in the taller boys hair and he poured everything he had into this kiss.

So now not only would he pass. He would be able to snog his best friend/secret crush anytime he wanted to. This day had come to a great close.
