"Thats the same tree from ages ago" Hige replied, shrugging.
"Your kidding..That cant be the same tree, it CANT be" Toboe muttered and Hige turned to face him "And who the hell died and made you the leader?" Hige said angrily, Tsume groaned and interupted the argument "I could ask you the same thing porky" Tsume said sarcastically. "Its up ahead.." Tsume, Hige and Toboe turned their attention to Kiba "I can smell lunar flowers" they continued to stare at Kiba for awhile.
"Hey, your right!" Hige said after pausing to sniff the air.
"C'mon lets go!" Toboe shouted and started running in the direction Kiba had pointed. Hige stared after Toboe for a second, then nodded and followed him with Tsume not far behind.
The four wolves ran through the snowy forest, kicking snow around them from every direction. They were begginning to have doubts about Kiba's prediction. The weather was becoming warmer..
"Why the hell would she have come through here?" Hige shouted at Kiba.
"I have to trust my instinct. Cheza is in there I know it" He said strongly, staring into Hige's eyes.
"Your kidding?" Tsume said angrily "We're following you because of this.. Instinct?" Kiba didnt reply, instead he continued to run through the now melting snow.
Hige groaned "Is it just me or is it hot in here?"
"That sounds like one of your pathetic pick up lines" Tsume scoffed, Toboe bit back his laughter.
"Now where the hell has Kiba gotten to?" Hige muttered angrily "The guy's always running off"
"Thats because he's totally up himself, kinda like you porky" Tsume explained sarcastically.
Toboe hadnt spoken, he didnt like how Kiba had gone missing in a place like this. And he didnt like how his friends were fighting. "Water.." Toboe suddenly muttered quietly.
"What?"
"Water!" Toboe shouted louder, feeling more confident now "Kiba's gone to look for water!"
"Selfish bastard" Tsume growled and Hige didnt say anything for awhile.
"Toboe, why would he look for water?"
"B-Because of Cheza. She needs water to keep alive right?" Toboe stuttered, afraid that they wouldnt understand what he meant.
"But we havn't even found Cheza, why would he look for water?" Tsume grunted.
"She.. He.. He must have thought Cheza went off to find water."
Hige had smelt Kiba's blood and they were now running through the snow to find him. The further they went, the more the snow melted.
"Water!" Toboe exclaimed as he stepped in a large puddle.
"look there's a river up ahead!" Hige shouted and headed towards the river, Tsume and Toboe close behind.
A dark shadow stepped in front of them, blocking their way to the river "Halt, no one step a paw closer to our river" Tsume blamed the dark night for not knowing the shadow's Identity. "And why not?" Hige asked stubbornly.
"One step closer and you'll see" the shadow growled and Toboe jumped with fear "Its a wolf!"
They all stopped and looked closer at the shadow. Hige sniffed the air "Wolves you mean!" Hige exclaimed in shock.
The wolves had them surrounded. "Please, we dont want your water, we're just looking for our friend!" Toboe explained taking a step forward to talk to what he guessed was the leader.
Toboe heard sounds of growling and pawsteps on the melted snow before blacking out.
