CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Crossover

"Stupid processor," Greg mumbled. "Always breaking whenever I need it the most... Stupid technology"

Greg tried reprocessing the finger prints Nick had given him for a case, with no results. The computer screen went black once again. "Stupid, stupid, stupid."

"Talking to yourself again, Greg?" asked Warrick as he, Grissom and a red-haired girl entered the lab. "When people go insane, they first start talking to themselves."

"Grissom, I can't work like this. The computer keeps breaking down and I can't figure out how to fix it! If you expect me to give you results in trace, I need working equipment."

"That's why she's here. Greg, this is Willow Rosenberg. She's the new summer inturn and a computer genius."

"She's a little young, don't you think?" asked Greg.

"I'm seventeen years old and I taught a computer course to my peers this year when our teacher Miss Calendar died in January. I promise you, I know more than you'd expect."

"Greg, she wouldn't be here if she wasn't qualified. Work with her," said Grissom before he and Warrick left, leaving the teenager and CSI wannabe alone.

"Well, if you're so good with this, fix the computer, and show me what you've got?" Greg hated to admit it, but he was intimidated by the girl. She looked more knowledgeable in this field than he did! Life is so not fair at the moment.

Without a word, Willow went to the computer, and started taking the thing apart. Greg was nervous that she didn't know what she was doing, and wouldn't be able to put it back together. Great, she's going to cause the lab even more money! There goes the money for the new finger printing system. Well, I'm not going to let that happen. That could save me hours of work!

"You know, I don't think you know what you're doing. If you break the equipment, you're going to pay for it."

"Fine. If I can't fix this, I'll pay to have a professional come in and undo the 'damage'; but if I do fix it, you have to give you're next paycheck," Willow said without looking up from what she was doing.

Greg still couldn't see that Willow had actually already fixed the problem and was now making slight upgrades to the system. Like a seventeen year old could fix a system that complicated.

"Deal."

Willow worked for another five minutes, then put the side panel back on the box of the computer. She then started typing something, and the computer started looking for matches to the finger prints Greg had started looking for. Within thirty seconds, there was a match.

Willow looked at Greg. "I believe you owe me a paycheck."

Greg looked at her dumbstruck. "I believe I just found my computer soul mate."

The End

Let me know what you think.
