Here's a Big Hero 6 fanfic! I'm kind of new to this so please let me know what you think :) If there's enough positive feedback, I'll continue it but if not, that's cool too. Taataa for now readers!
The Nightmare
She watched, helpless, as the door closed behind him. Flames licked the edges of door frame as billowing black smoke escaped from the weakening roof top. The scream never past her lips to cry out his name, before a blinding explosion sealed his fate. A piercing ring ran through her ears as her eyes adjusted to the collapsing frame of the building. Shallow echoes of sirens rang in the distance, but all knew that help had come to late.
Cold sweat ran down your face and neck as you tried to register what had just happened. I lamp light on the opposite side of the room clicked to life as a sleepy voice escaped from a mound of sheets. "You okay?" your roommate, half mumbled and barely audible.
"Yeah, fine. Just…a bad dream." You said trying to calm yourself, as your eyes adjusted to the dimly lit room. Speed bikes magazine clippings and sport car posters hung just by tape, fluttered as the air conditioner left them to flutter against the walls, streaking disturbing shadows about the room.
The bed made a loud squeak as your roommate collapsed back to sleep on her bed. She had managed to wrap herself in a man made cocoon of every blanket on the bed, including the fitted sheet. Her short black hair, accented with her signature purple streak, sprung in every direction as her faced nuzzled back into the pillow. It wasn't long before the steady beat of soft breathing filled the room, letting you know she had fallen back asleep.
You gingerly reach over and clicked off the lamp. Despite the darkness of the room, the shadows still danced across the room tauntingly. With your shirt still damp from your sweat, you thrust the sheets over your head and waited for day to come.
"It was just a dream. It wasn't real. It was just a dream. It wasn't real. It was just a dream." You repeated to yourself over and over again until finally you fell back asleep.
