…Prolouge…

It felt so empty in here, in this room, which I spent most of my daily life basis. If only Secchan was here with me right now…but that is no longer possible. Not anymore…

The final bell of the day has finally rung. The hall was filled with students of Mahora exiting the school to their dorm. I heard a voice that called out to me. Such a familiar voice, but yet so distant.

"Konoe-san?"

The person's voice was so soft. Her raven hair was not tied up like usual. Her eyes still had that glow of gentleness. Her figure was so pale and beautiful. This angel used to be all mine, but not any longer.

I turned around slowly with teary eyes. I wiped them as quick as I could with my sleeves. I didn't want her to see me as I am.

"Yes?"

I tried my best to force a smile, which didn't last for long. I wiped my tears that began to form and drooped down my cheeks. This was only the beginning, but yet it was already so hard.

"This is yours, right?"

Her hands reached out to me with a pactio card faced down that my name, Konoe Konoka, engraved on it. And just from reading that, she returned it to me, believing I was the owner of the card. She didn't even take a second look at what was on the other side. Another memory…

"Thanks, Set….I mean Sakurazaki-san,"

Her nickname, which I used to call her everyday, almost slipped from my lips. Without thinking, I ran away as fast as I could. I couldn't hold the tears in anymore. It hurts.

I ran up stairs to the rooftop. I just wanted to yell her name at the top of my voice. I took out the pactio card with her on it. I just stare at the picture. What's wrong with me? I don't know anymore. It hurts every time I hear her voice. It hurts every time I see her. It hurts every time I try to reach closer to her.

Everything happened like this because of a tragic incident three weeks ago...

Here is my second story's prolouge that was planned for quite a while!

The prolouge is in Konoka's point of view but will be in third person or third person limited when the original story starts. That way, I can get the characters' feelings more clear.

It was originally a doujinshi that I was going to draw but I thought it would be better if I write the story down first!
