PROLOGUE
Lily POV
Hi! I'm Lily Luna Potter. I'm fifteen years old, and a fifth year Gryffindor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I am about five foot two, have fiery red hair that goes to my waist, and chocolate brown eyes, like Mum. I absolutely LOVE to paint, though no one in my family really gets why, despite all their support. My best friend in the whole entire world is Lysander Scamander, who is a fifth year Ravenclaw. His twin brother Lorcan is best friends with my cousin Hugo, both of which are fifth year Gryffindors, like me. None of us are Prefects for some reason though. I have two older brothers, James Sirius, he's 18 and the reserve chaser for the Montrose Magpies; he says he'll be the full time chaser by the end of the year, and Albus Severus, a seventh year Ravenclaw. I have nine other cousins on my mum's side of the family, making a total of twelve Weasley children, most of which are still at Hogwarts. Then, on my dad's side of the family I have two cousins: Reginald (Reggie) Dursley and Sarah Dursley. Funnily enough, Sarah is a witch! She starts her first year of Hogwarts this year!
Oh, I've gotten off track a bit, haven't I. Oh, well. Anyway... my oldest cousin is Victoire, she's 24 and was a Ravenclaw when she was at Hogwarts, now she's a Healer. She is absolutely in love with Teddy Lupin, who is basically my oldest brother, except he isn't actually my brother. He is 26 and was a Hufflepuff, like his Mum oh, and also is an Auror. Hm, the next oldest, after Vic is Dominique, her sister. Dom is amazing! She might be my favourite cousin EVER! She's 21 and was in Gryffindor. She actually spends a lot of time in the muggle world because she's in a band, a MUGGLE band. It's really fun to go to her concerts and see her have so much fun doing what she loves. I'm still drifting, aren't I? Oh, um, after Dom there's Molly, she's 19 and was in Hufflepuff, like Aunt Audrey. She's working as a journalist for the Daily Prophet now. Well, next would be James, but I've already talked about him, so Louis' up next; he's 18 like James, but was in Ravenclaw, unlike James. He is actually coming back to Hogwarts this year; he's going to be apprenticing to be the new Potions teacher next year, when Professor Slughorn retires. Um, next up is Lucy! She's a seventh year Gryffindor, and is Head Girl this year! Uncle Percy is so excited. I've already talked about Al, so I'll move on to Rose. She's a seventh year Ravenclaw, like Al. She is dating Scorpius Malfoy, much to Uncle Ron's chagrin, but Scorp is Al's best friend, and he's really cool. Hm, next is Fred, who's a sixth year Gryffindor. He, like his namesake is a serious prankster. Never, i repeat, NEVER take any food he offers you. Then there's Hugo and me as us fifth years. Last but not least is Roxanne. She's a third year Gryffindor. Though we spread throughout most of the houses, none of us are in Slytherin. Maybe Sarah will be she certainly is cunning enough to be.
Now that I've bored you with all the details of my family, I'll get on with the actual story...
