I'm Always Watching Over You

Disclaimer: I do not own Alice in Wonderland. This is based of a play I saw, and was moved by the friendship of the Chesire Cat and Alice.
Alice was home; her party was going along splendidly. Alice smiled, but if you looked carefully you could tell it was a fake. But no one paid much attention to her, even if she was the guest of honor. Her cake had pink frosting on it, just like always, but for once it seemed to be to cheerful of a color. And she could of sworn a few times she saw Chesie, the Cheshire Cat, peering out a window.
Later that night, Alice stared out at the sky. She sighed, she was a year older but she felt much older. The stars made that sly grin that was always s on Chesie's face. Tears threatened to pour. She missed her watch-cat friend. The one who saved her from the Queen's wrath, and helped guide her on her way back home, even if it wasn't very direct.
Dina meowed, wanting to be picked up. Alice ignored her. She wanted to hear her grinning cat friend's voice that taunted and yet guided her. Alice looked down at Dina, whishing silently, that she could talk. Dina meowed as if to prove she could not speak.
A tear rolled down her cheek, who was going to watch over her now? Who could appear and disappear so smoothly and silently but Chesie. Alice looked out the window; a cat was in the meadow. It turned around and caught Alice's eye, almost saying, "I'm always watching over you. Just like in Wonderland." With that the cat turned forward and promptly disappeared.
Alice looked back up at the sky, to the sly smile. Her friend had always been watching her, even if Alice couldn't see her. And even now, her friend was still around watching over her.
A/N, I had to write this down. I actually am not very fond of Alice in Wonderland, but since my school was doing it last year, I had classmates in it. Well I saw it and this is what came to my mind during the bowing part of the play, when the song "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley was playing. Even if the play is long over this was the first time I got to update it. LOL!! Please review!
