Malloy rubbed his temples as he thought about what to give Mac. It wouldn't be so hard, if it weren't for the fact that Mac already seemed to have everything in the world! He opened his eyes and looked at the selection of baseball caps in front of him. He picked one up and checked the price when Reed ran over.
"Hey Pete!"
Malloy turned around, still holding the hat. Reed was holding a coupon in his hand which flapped around as he jogged over.
"What is it?"
"Guess what I have!" Whatever it was, he was awfully excited about it.
"What?"
"C'mon! Guess!"
"A million dollars."
"Ha ha. Very funny. No, I got this!"
Reed proceeded to show what the coupon was for, which was not a million dollars. It was for a small, but beautiful yacht for sell.
"Interesting. Where did you get this?"
"It came from a catalog."
Malloy checked out the price for the yacht. It was a decent price, and the yacht seemed worth it.
"It's a nice yacht, but you know that we're here to shop for others, right?"
Reed pinched the bridge of his nose, "No! I wasn't suggesting that WE get it! I was suggesting that we GIVE it to Mac!" Malloy looked back down at the yacht. Now that he thought about it, he didn't think that Mac had a yacht. And he would certainly appreciate one like that. "You know," Malloy said, "That is a very nice idea." Malloy put the coupon in his pocket. One down, two to go.
