This is a one shot I wrote after seeing the episode of Hikaru no Go where Hikaru's Mom thinks/says that if he passed the insei exam it can't be that hard.

First of all the insei exam takes a very high level of skill to pass, and I mainly passed because the Instructor was able to see the talent in my Go. Most Insei canidates prepare for at leat a year before taking the exam, and many are refused by the Go Institute."
