Love Struck
Reno stood outside the ShinRa Building with his partner, Rude, on break. He leaned against the wall and stared at the sky with a sigh. Rude glanced at his carefree partner behind black shades. "What?" Reno asked, realizing he was being watched. "You're doing it again..." Rude replied, looking away. "Doing what?" "Staring at the sky with a dreamy look on your face. You've been doing that all week now." Reno chuckled quietly, blushing a slight red. "Care to share?" Rude asked, leaning a shoulder on the wall. Reno sighed. "Ever have a crush on somebody…" he started. "And you really wanna tell them….but you know that they won't even think about loving you?" Rude shook his head. "Afraid not." Their conversation was interrupted when a certain spiky haired ex-soldier walked up the stairs. Reno instantly panicked, fearing that Cloud heard him talking. Cloud stopped in front of the door, looking at the two Turks. Rude cleared his throat and gestured to the door. Reno looked down, trying to hide his blushing. When Cloud disappeared through the door, Rude looked at Reno with a smirk. "I'm guessing that was him?" Reno nodded. "Well then, why don't you talk to him? You've never been shy around people before." Reno shook his head. "I wish I could but…whenever I see him…I get nervous and choke on my words." "I can tell." Rude smirked. "Besides…He wouldn't want to waste his breath on me."
After his shift, Reno returned to his office. He sat down in his chair and spun around slowly. "Ugh…why didn't I say something?" He buried his face in his hands. A knock at the door made the red head jump. "Yeah?" Reno asked, leaning back in his chair. "May I come in?" Reno almost died at the sound of Cloud's voice. "Um…Y-yeah. Hang on one minute!" The red head scrambled to clear his messy desk of papers and files, shoving them in a random drawer. He then rushed to the door, opening it to see Cloud standing beside the door. Blue eyes met surprised green eyes. Reno backed up as Cloud walked into the office. "Um…yo" Reno stuttered. Cloud ignored the nervous red head's greeting and pulled him close, pressing his lips to Reno's. Reno froze before melting into the ex-soldier's kiss. When the kiss ended, Reno wrapped his arms around Cloud's neck, nuzzling against his shoulder. Cloud ran his fingers through uneven red hair, loosening it from its tie, trailing soft kissed down the Turk's neck. "Wait..." Reno gently pushed Cloud back. "How did you know?" Cloud chuckled and kissed Reno's nose. "It's not hard to figure out when your face matches your hair every time you see me." Reno glared at Cloud. "Rude." Cloud shook his head. "I think it's cute." Reno couldn't help but smile at his lover's remark. "Well now that you're mine…" Reno tugged on Cloud's shirt. "Wanna take this somewhere else besides my messy office?" Cloud grinned and whispered low against Reno's ear. "My pleasure."
