Delirium is Just a State of Being
Summary: Annabeth's speaking. Percy isn't listening. That can't end well. Percabeth.
Author's Note: Written in the span of 4 minutes and 45 seconds. No joke. Yet another thing I will have to come back to clean up later.
Disclaimer: Don't own. If I did the series would have ended at book 3 (like I thought it should've).

Voices. Voices were above him, just out of his reach. What were they saying? He didn't know.
He tried to open his eyes. They felt heavy. Everything was blurred. Perhaps this was what it was like to drown. Not that he'd ever know. A son of Poseidon could never drown.
"He's awake." A voice murmured above him. Who was that? Sounded male.
Feet pounding. A rush of wind. Arms embracing him.
His eyes opened slowly. Blonde hair with wisps of gray. That could only be one person. Annabeth. And she was choking the life out of him.
He coughed and sputtered.
"Annabeth I'm okay really!" He wasn't, but he thought he'd say it for her benefit (and the sake of his well-being). Luckily, the choking subsided as she drew back.
He was surprised by what he saw. She looked haggard and worn (though still unbearably beautiful). Tears leaked slightly from her eyes. He had the strangest urge to brush them away. He ignored it.
She attempted to regain her composure, wiping hastily at the tears. Once done, she looked up at him and glared. And then she attacked.
"Seaweed. Brain. You. Insufferable. Idiot!" Each word was punctuated with a kiss.
His mind registered somewhere that she was angry, but all he was absorbing was the kisses. When she was done, he grinned slightly, still in an oddly happy haze.
She scowled at his grin.
"If you ever leave in the middle of the night to try and take on some stupid demon and come back to me in an awful bloody state and stay comatose for two weeks again, I will not forgive you!"
Oh. So that was what happened. He supposed he should appear more apologetic. But the smile refused to slip off his face.
"Oy! Seaweed Brain! Are you listening to me?"
"Not at all." He replied on automatic.
She scowled deeper.
"And how can I get you to pay attention to me?" she said, clearly annoyed with him.
"Well maybe if you kiss me again…" He trailed off as his mind caught up with what he was saying. His eyes widened.
"Not that you have to if you don't want to! Um, who said I wanted you to kiss me? I didn't. What are you talking about? I have no idea. We aren't talking at all are we? Ok then."
He was looking everywhere but her, clearly panicked, an embarrassed blush spread over his cheeks. If he'd looked he might've noticed the slight smile that appeared on her face at his words or the happiness that crept into her eyes despite her attempt to stay angry. But he didn't look. He didn't register these things. The next thing he registered was the sound of her voice.
"Shut up Seaweed Brain." And her lips slammed down on his again.
A snort came, somewhere between amusement and disgust. The same male voice which Percy's somewhat more functional brain correctly deduced to be Grover spoke.
"Get a room you two."

Author's Note: More accurate to how I think Percy and Annabeth would get together. They don't seem too much like the sappy type and Percy is far too thick to make a move unless (as is the case here) he's delirious. That much I deduced from the fourth book (which I just finished reading hence why I'm writing this).
