over Kikyo. It's ridiculously short.

Kikyo... you may be a priestess... and you may have tried to hide the truth from me. He jumped down from the tree he was sleeping in and leaned against the trunk.He was stronger these days... and a better person than who he used to be. Kagome helped him see what was happening to him... and he was finally able to let go and move on.

Inuyasha recalled that familiar phrase, which still haunted him in his dreams. But he survived the worst. Thanks to Kagome.
He stood outside Kaede's hut, watching Kagome sleep peacefully. They were so different, Kagome and Kikyo. His biggest mistake was thinking that Kikyo still cared for anyone, especially him.
I'm sorry about the way you died... but you need to stop haunting this world. Move on, Kikyo... you can't kill me again, he thought.

Inuyasha sighed as he thought about Kikyo's last few moments. Kikyo had betrayed him... or Naraku had, disguised as her. His fist clenched at the thought of Naraku and what he had done to all his friends.
He glanced back into the hut at Kagome's peaceful face. He was given the chance of a new beginning. To hell with it if he was going to let Kikyo take it from him.
Kagome yawned at sat up. She rubbed her eyes and looked around. She spotted Inuyasha disappear behind the hut and went outside to look for him.
I survived you, Kikyo. And you're not going to ruin my new beginning, Inuyasha thought as he his gaze fell upon Kagome's sweet and innocent face.
I guess I don't have the passion of writing a songfic for Inuyasha as I do for FFX/FFX-2. Oh well. The song lyrics fit best with the Inuyasha/Kikyo relationship. I was going to add more action and drama into it... but got lazy. I don't know. I guess I was also at a block. If anyone has suggestions, just review and maybe I'll rewrite and repost this one ).
