Hey-o!
Look! A one-word-prompt! I haven't posted one in a while, huh? That's cuz I finished most of them already. *derp* ...Note the "most".
I had once tried to write something for this, and failed. I left it alone again until I had another idea.
On with the story!
"Welcome home, Princess May!" One of the younger members of the Chang clan greeted when she entered her village.
"Good to be back!" May smiled to the other girl. Xiao Mei bowed to the girl from her spot on May's shoulder as they walked deeper into the village.
"Did you know that Prince Ling of the Yao clan has already taken the throne?" The girl asked.
"He left Amestris just a week earlier than me and he's already Emperor?"
"Yes. He found the secret to immortality, but convinced the previous Emperor against using it."
"That's good." May breathed in relief. "Has he done anything as Emperor yet?"
"I heard that he is planning to adjust the country's economy so the poor won't be as poor, but it may take a while for that to succeed." The girl explained as they arrived to a bench, where May decided to stop to rest on for a moment. "But never mind that. I want to hear about your travels."
"Such as what? A lot happened." May chuckled to herself.
"Like...if you met Edward Elric, the Fullmetal Alchemist!" The girl squealed. "Is he really as amazing as the stories say?!"
May laughed miserably. "Sorry to burst your bubble, but he's a rude pipsqueak with the lung capacity of an elephant. Edward can make you go deaf. He is very smart and talented, but not the guy for me."
"That is disappointing." The girl frowned. "I know how excited you were for him to sweep you off your feet. You got all the girls around here fawning over him, just to find out that he isn't all that handsome."
"He is still handsome, but it's hard to see over his personality." May suddenly started grinning. "That's why I fell for his brother instead!"
She's got a point there. XD I mean, come on! Alphonse was literally her knight in shining armor! And he's so sweet and adorable and-
...This is not creepy at all! *blush* I mean, I am 14, just like Al!... Until a few days ago, when I turned 15. *sweat drop* Yeah, my b-day's August 6th, just so you guys know for next year. ;)
Oh wait, where was I?... Oh yeah, Al. *embarrassed* The best part of him is that he always remind me of cats! Cats also remind me of him. :P
