We were all sitting in Kairi's living room. Ever since we all grew up and went our separate ways, we try to get together every once in a while. Just to catch up and share memories. Kairi was just finishing one of her stories.
"And so I'm super late to my exam, right? Well, it turns out I passed!" she finished with glee.
"Your professor has the hots for you," her older brother, Axel, joked.
"Oh shut up, Axel! He does not! And he's so old and…unsexy!" she said with a shudder.
Riku giggled quietly and all of our eyes shot over to him. I, unlike the others, knew exactly what he was thinking of.
"Is there something you'd like to shaaaare?" Axel asked him, arching an eyebrow.
"Hey, Sora, remember that time I--" he began, but was cut of by me.
"Just tell the story!" I cried, burying my reddening face in the pillow on my lap.
"Okay. Well, Sora and I were supposed to have a date at his place. Mind you, this was about two years ago. Anyways…Sora, you can tell the story better than I can," he said with a shrug.
"Fine…"I sighed.
"Let's go!" Kairi yelled, brimming with anticipation.
"Alright, alright," I cleared my throat and began, "Riku was coming over because Roxas was at Axel's and our parents were out of town…"
Flashback
I was running around the house cleaning. I had my headphones on and the volume up full blast. I couldn't hear anything around me.
I was dashing frantically from room to room, picking up random shit I happened to stumble upon. But when I listen to music, especially loud music, I have to stop to sing and dance like an idiot.
Well, I was in the middle of my living room in a straight, clear path from my front door. I was listening to "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake. One of my all-time favourite songs. So, I had stopped to dance and sing obnoxiously loud.
I didn't hear my front door open, or click shut. I also didn't hear the footsteps make their way across the wood floor and stop just before the carpet. I just kept dancing. Rather suggestively for this song.
I didn't notice anyone was there until I turned and opened my eyes to see Riku standing there, watching me.
End Flashback
"I damn near fainted!" I confessed.
"It was hella funny, though," Riku chuckled and patted my hand.
"Hey Roxas! That reminds me of the time--" Axel began.
"No!" Roxas protested, shaking his head violently.
"Anything for you, Roxie," the redhead said as he pulled out his phone.
We all soon received a text from Axel that read, "I'll tell ya later! ;)"
