The End Comes Soon
Life Simply Gone
Body aching,
I lie alone,
In the fields dying,
In the remains of destruction,
Of hope,
Of ash,
My past burned to the ground,
My future unwavering in its emptiness,
Its unwillingness to surrender to the darkness,
My only hope of surviving,
The sweet smell of flowers invade my senses,
And I inhale slowly,
Painfully,
Waiting peacefully for the end,
End of me,
End of humans,
End of everything,
For, what does the earth have reasons to spin anymore?
Why should life go on?
How could life go on, in the sorry state it's in?
Exhaling, I feel the sickening remains of people burn my nose,
My throat,
My heart,
The remains of my people,
My family,
My friends,
My whole life,
Gone,
Simply Gone,
Which, as I lay here, is pure agony to my systems,
Making them all malfunction,
Until there's nothing left to work for,
Until only a shell remains,
The shell of the once pure,
The once innocent,
The once alive,
And, opening my eyes,
I see the Sun disappear under the horizon,
And the blackness taking it's place,
The birds stop chirping,
Animals fade away,
Life Simply Gone,
While all else moves,
I stay the same,
Waiting, praying,
Hoping,
That The End Comes Soon,

It seems I have an inability to write poems about happy things. Like, bunnies or rainbows, or something...
