Yes, I do indeed not like fics like this, but I have had this idea in my head FOREVER. It helps to picture the song teardrops on my guitar when listening to this. Prehaps listen to it one youtube while reading? No wait… Even I'm too lazy to do that. Whatev. Just read my fluffy one shot.

Toph sat on a large, flat rock. Her eyes became misty with tears, as she slowly repeated her love's words.

"She's just like a little sister!" Sokka had then rudely turned and kissed his girlfriend. Toph hadn't been bothered by it too much, until Sokka began ignoring her. It was to Toph's dismay that Sokka and Suki started talking about marriage that night.

She had felt Suki walking in to Sokka's tent, but after that all she heard were sounds like,

"I would marry you silly!" In Suki's voice. And things like,

"Aww Suki, you're so funny!" And then silence, where she figured there would be much kissing.

Toph was interested in the next words she had heard.

"Sokka, do you still have feelings for Toph? I know she likes you." Suki asked quietly. Toph listened attentively, catching the word "still", and blushing.

"Well of course, Suki. She is one of my bestfriends." Toph nodded defiantly. "She is so funny. She is cute to." Sokka listed these things and Toph gave a small smile and continued to blush. "She is just like a little sister." Suki laughed. Toph grimaced, immediately losing her red tint.

"I guess you're right." Suki replied.

More silence.

Toph slowly let a tear fall down her dirt-covered cheek. She decided not to let Sokka and Suki hear her. She silently ran into the forest grabbing a piece of paper on the way, and wiped a tear from her eyes. She earth bended a tall ledge that reached up to a tree that had a good view of the campsite. She took the paper she had out. She had heard Sokka reading it to Suki from a book. It read,

"The night shines just to see you smile.

Love is a figment o f a mere young child.
I am in love with you,

And let it be wild.

Oh fair maiden, please do choose,

Me."

There had been silence after Sokka had read this, too.

She now sat on the dirt covered rock, crying softly.

Toph suddenly burst into tears for the first time in eight years.

"Sokka, I love you!" She whispered, tears streaming her face.

"You do?" a familiar voice was heard. It was Sokka.

"Yes… But Suki has taken your heart, and I understand." Toph mumbled, wiping her wet face.

"Well Toph, I do love you." Sokka replied. Toph lowered herself.

"Well that explains why you love Suki." Sokka frowned.

"I do love Suki. But I love you too, Toph." Toph frowned.

"Just once, Sokka, I would like to steal the heart of the one I love- you." Toph fell sobbing into Sokka's arms.

"Suki is just… for me, you know? Toph, someday a guy will really like you…" Sokka sat down next to her. She rose them up into the night sky, on her rock.

"And tonight that can be me." Sokka pressed his lips against Toph's, and Toph was lost in love. She didn't know weather to swoon, cry, or punch him. So she just relaxed and let the kiss seep in.

"S-Sokka?" She stuttered.

"Yes, Toph?" Sokka replied.

"I-do love you…" She mumbled.

Sokka just smiled and pulled her close to him.

He kissed her dirt-covered head.

"I know."

The time in that pose was timeless.

"Some times the one you love, doesn't love you back." Toph thought.

I bet she's beautiful,

That girl he talks about.

She has all the things that I have to live without!

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar!
The only thing that keep me wishing on a wishing star…

It was true. Toph was in love. With Sokka.

THE END.

That was so fluffy, my hands are bleeding. Poor Toph. :'(

Did you like my fluff? It's only the second fluff story I've ever written- so yes, it stunk. Anyway, please R+R!!!
