A/N: It's that time of year again. Erm—I don't want to say the word, think about it, or even think about thinking about it. And I bet you guys don't either. So…on with this little drabble…

School Days
«-- ° º ° --»
Axel waits at Twilight Town High for his boyfriend. He flips open his phone and sighs nonchalantly. Waiting is always a hard part. Black digital symbols stare at him automatically, holding no form of expression; it's 2:45 p.m. Axel hunches his shoulders and leans back against his car door. Axel wishes to see Roxas. The blond's trademark smile. His adorable and unique hairstyle. His knack of laughing sweetly at every single one of the redhead's jokes. Axel is waiting for the little blond boy. The sweet—sometimes bitter and pubescent—senior that the college sophomore holds above the rest. Axel shoves his hands deeper into his tight pockets, taking his cell phone down with him.
"Get your butt out here already, Roxas…" Axel thinks about what Roxas could possibly be doing. Axel smiles, and he is immensely amused. Roxas is most likely slamming his head on his locker because he forgot his combination. That's Roxas…
But right on cue, Roxas bolts out of the school's automatic doors. He is smothering the textbooks that refused to be jammed into his backpack against his chest. Axel can see the blond wince, though a smile is gracing his features, every time Roxas's shoulder bag makes brute contact with his bottom. The blond is forced forward with each thud and push. But Roxas smiles brightly when his eyes catch Axel's green ones. Axel can't help but smile idiotically. It was absolutely adorable.
Roxas hug-tackle-glomps his beloved redhead, and the two lovebirds plummet like deadweight to the ground. Axel winces. The asphalt's scorching summer heat is warming up his pants and shirt. It burns as it touches and ghosts over his skin, but the older boy tries to ignore it.
Roxas beams down at Axel with a toothy grin. Axel smiles back. The blond tucks a finger and a thumb under the redhead's chin and pulls him closer for a passionate kiss. Axel deepens the kiss by gracefully sliding his tongue into the blond's mouth. Roxas purrs in delight, and Axel smiles into the kiss, pleased with his performance.
The first day is over. And Axel has to admit it. It wasn't so painful after all. Instead of wearing a tight scowl on his face and being drenched in a sour mood until Roxas returned, Axel knows that now he can wear a smug grin and be shrouded with excitement. Becasue Axel swears that everyday will be the same—maybe even better. He will wait. He will be grumpy and anxious as he waits. Roxas will come bolting out with a smile. Axel will laugh and grin in amusement as Roxas winces and chuckles every time his bag pushes him forward. But what really excited the redhead was the fact that every afternoon, he will be greeted and smothered with kisses from his sweet little blond. It wil be pure bliss.
