Just a little something that was dying to come out. A Draco/Hermione relationship weaved into the canon things that happen in the books. Originally an oneshot, I've now decided that it will be a multi-chapter story because I think that not a lot of people would be willing to read a 10.000 + words oneshot. Lol

As for the disclaimer I do not own Harry Potter.

Prologue

Rose Weasley could not sleep. She had tried every possible thing she could think of to get into a deep slumber, but nothing had worked. And all because of a 'little secret'. Rose knew that she had to tell her mother, after all that was a part of the pact that she had formed with a certain someone before getting of the train at the beginning of the summer holidays. And she still hadn't picked up the courage to do so.

Rose glanced at the clock on her beside table. She only had half an hour left to tell her mother her dirty little secret. She sighed. Rose knew that she couldn't break the pact, she wasn't like that. She always kept her promises. Sighing again she got up and made her way towards the kitchen.

Hermione Weasley, previously Granger was curled up on one of the two sofas that were in the kitchen, reading a book. She loved it at night time when all her family had gone to bed and she could read with some peace and quiet. She loved her family dearly but sometimes, ok, most of the time the house was in a state of utter chaos because of them. As Hermione got up from the sofa she saw her daughter Rose at the kitchen door looking a bit stressed out.

"Not able to get to sleep? Hermione asked her. Rose nodded. "I was going to make some hot chocolate do you want some?"

"Yes please mum" sitting her self down on one of the sofas. Hermione smiled and two minutes later she was sitting one the other sofa in front of Rose.

Hermione frowned. There was something up with her daughter. Rose was a big chatter box and could never keep quiet. But know it looked almost like if superglue was shutting her lips together. Hermione took a deep breath.

"Is anything wrong Rose?" she enquired. Rose looked at her with a nervous look in her eyes.

"I've got a boyfriend" she managed to blurt out. Hermione stared at her.

"Since when?"

"The beginning of fifth year" Rose said.

"The beginning of fifth year?!" Hermione shouted not believing what her ears were hearing. Her daughter had had a boyfriend for almost a year and had never said anything.

"Who is he?" she demanded.

Rose took a deep breath "Scorpius Malfoy" Hermione stared at her yet again

"Scorpius Malfoy as in Draco Malfoy's son? Rose nodded.

"Look mum, I know that he is a Slytherin but that doesn't mean that he is evil"

"I think you are forgetting that I know the boy honey, after all he is Al's best friend and I know that he is not evil" Hermione said smiling

"So you are not mad?" Rose asked her

"Not at all" Rose smiled at this "Do you love him?" Hermione asked her daughter.

"With all my heart" Rose said looking at her mother. Hermione looked at her too and soon mother and daughter had a giggling fit.

When the finally calmed down Hermione said "I was in love with a Slytherin myself once too" Rose stared at her "Do you want to hear the story?" Rose nodded.

"Well, our story starts in 1994 on the night of the Yule Ball…"

So that was the prologue. Review and tell me what you think.
