Lucy sighed as she walked beside the Dragon Slayer. "Natsu!" The spirit summon mage exclaimed when the said Slayer bumped into her.
"Sorry Luce. It's just, you looked like you were in outterspace." She blushed and looked away. "What were you thinking of? A boy?" She smiled sadly at the boy.
"No Natsu. I'm thinking of my family."
"Luce, they are losers. They want to stop you from your magic."
"I know." Her eyes looked so lost. "I just feel like a disappointment to everyone because of it. I mean I can't hold my own, you're alwayssaving me. Or someone else. Why can't I do things on my own." Natsu looked at her and noticed for the first time that day that she wasn't dressed fashionably.
He blinked at the sweatshirt and pants. Her feet had on trainers. "Lucy, are you depressed? Don't be. I like saving you." She shook her head. "You're my friend and I like saving you because you always put up with me, even when you just want me to leave."
Lucy stopped walking. "I never mean that Natsu, and you know it." She didn't look up at him. She had her gaze on his chest, thinking on how it had been three years since she joined the guild. "I like you being around, I just get emotional, and like to be alone for then. Otherwise I have to force it down. It makes me feel weaker to cry in front of anyone."
"Lucy, you are the strongest girl I know." Natsu said as he put a hand on her shoulder. It was overly warm. "I wouldn't be here with you if you weren't." He moved his hand down to her her wrist and put the other on her other wrist. "I wouldn't like you any other way."
"Nat...." He cut her off with a kiss. She froze.
"Again, you are not weak." He pulled back as she went to hit him. "You love me, and I love you." He took her hand and and they continued on their way to the bar. "When are you going to see that?"
"When I can see it." Natsu sighed.
"Punch me."
"What? No way." She growled.
"Yes way."
"If I hurt you I would never fogive myself."
"Seems like you are strong. Most girls like to hit me."
"But....whatever, I...oh my gosh." She trailed off. "Where's Happy?"
"He stayed at the apartment."
"Oh..." She looked down. "Natsu, I'm never going to believe I'm strong."
"I know..." Natsu said with a sigh.
