A/N: I have come to realize my best work is always written as soon as it enters my head and this is a tidbit such as that. Please R & R!
I say hello to you and you treat me like dirt. But I know why because if you don't you feel you will be punished and it will only make life harder. I don't blame you, but you could try harder. I see the emotion in your eyes no one else sees, you think you hide it well but I have hidden my emotions longer.
You think I can't because I didn't when everyone thought I liked your nemesis but I didn't, I was just awkward because he did save my life. That was the only time I have ever let my guard down and now I know never to do so again.
I used get angry when you insulted me, but not anymore. I get you; if you don't believe me, meet me in the seventh floor corridor in front of the portrait of Barnabas the Balmy at 8:00 pm Saturday night.
It's your choice, I'll be there waiting if you want to meet me.
Sincerely,
The Stranger in the moonlight.
Draco read this very odd letter and was quite intrigued. I doubt they get me, he thought. But despite his best interest he would meet this stranger.
A girl with her cloak hood up walked to the seventh floor corridor at exactly 8:00 pm Saturday night. Draco was staring around the corner with a suspicious feeling she knew he was there. No use turning back no, he thought.
She started pacing as he walked into plain view and after pacing three times a door appeared to her right. She then stopped and stared directly at him. She gestured towards the door he stood there anyway.
"Not until I see who you are." He said firmly.
"Fine." Said the girl she turned her back on him and lowered her hood he saw alarmingly red hair as she turned around he began to scream, as she shoved him into the room.
"Weasley!" he screeched safely in the aforementioned room.
"My name is Ginny not Weasley there are too many of us to confuse me with," She replied firmly.
"I…I…I… came here…Expecting-" He stuttered unable to find words.
"Too figure out who thinks they understand you. Yes it was me it's not a prank and I would appreciate if you lowered your voice, just because you're Head Boy does not mean all of us are allowed out this late." She said in a very steady level tone of voice.
"So what do you think you know about me?" he asked trying to hide his emotions, he would have fooled anyone but her.
"Who you are." She answered simply.
"Really?" he asked trying to sound skeptical while thinking, how could she know who I am I don't even know who I am?
"You have never had anyone love you all your life and you are therefore closed up to everyone and the only way you know how to do that is to act horrible. I watched when you're out on the grounds filtering out everything on paper in your amazing sketches." Ginny said in a tone he had never heard directed towards him, a tone of sympathy and understanding.
For the first time in her life her beautiful brown eyes showed some emotion that was not fear or determination, but instead kindness, understanding and a great resemblance to Dumbledore.
"How do you know about those?" he demanded quite taken aback.
"Everyone expresses themselves some way and I know from the quality of your insults, you don't exactly have a way with words." Ginny answered calmly.
She's getting to close, his mind warned him but as she moved closer he did as well, more intrigued by her then he ever was of anything. He then did something he thought he would never do to anyone he embraced her.
Ginny didn't find herself objecting she hugged him back and then made to brush her lips against his but he pulled her in for a first kiss she never would forget.
This was the tale of two people who opened each other up when no one else could.
