"Myfawny!" Jack called as he took the ascending stairs to her enormous nest. It had been a long time since he'd actually visited the reptile. She only came down from her nest if she found food down below, which was rare. He didn't want part of the team walking in on her and upsetting her.

"Uh, Jack," Ianto said, surprised. The archivist slipped out of formality and smiled a bit nervously. "Hello."

"Ianto?"

The captain had never caught Ianto visiting Myfawny before. Sure Ianto had probably known her better, especially when they first met, but Jack didn't think Ianto still paid her visits.

"I think Myfawny's dying, sir." If Ianto's words hadn't troubled him he would have reprimanded him for slipping back into the superior mindset.

Now that he really examined her, she didn't look too well. Her wings were folded up moodily, and she croaked periodically. However, Jack had become accustomed to some of the pterodactyl's moods.

Jack smiled and produced a chocolate bar from his pocket. Myfawny seemed to light up at the very sight as Jack carefully unwrapped it and tossed it to the flying reptile.

She ate it hungrily as Jack smirked at an embarrassed Ianto. "Nothing more than chocolate deprivation," he diagnosed to the archivist. "I do believe that you can be blamed for that obsession, Ianto."

"I'm sorry, sir."

Jack mimicked a sigh. "Really, Ianto, it's not working hours. I'm pretty sure your boss isn't going to hassle you over titles."

Ianto smiled. "I'm not so sure of that, sir, my boss is pretty stiff; never knows when to have a good time."

"You'll take that back, Ianto Jones," Jack growled playfully. Ianto, however, had frozen and was looking at Jack with worry. "Hey, Ianto, I was only-"

Ianto pointed behind Jack. "You don't happen to have another chocolate bar do you?"
