"Trust Issues?"
Onyx was done with the conversation and walked out the door ignoring the voices around him. He has a feeling of insecurity like something was close, and he didn't like the feeling he had. He felt a rumble beneath his feet. He felt more uneasy than before. The other gems ran outside to look witch meant it wasn't all in his head. As he pulled up his hood Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst pulled out their weapons. Onyx felt the beat below them and coming closer. "This isn't good." Onyx said " What?" Pearl asked.
Just as she asked a giant snake like creature launched up from the ground. " That." Onyx replied. Pearl gave him a glare for saying it as if she hadn't figured it out. He simply rolled his eyes and took out his duel daggers and leaped towards the monster. The other gems did the same. As they all were about to strike it when it whipped it's tail hitting all four at once as they plummeted onto the ground. As they all struggled to get up Pearl got the worst of it. Onyx reached for Pearl as his deformed arm fell on her hand it started to glow along with both of their gems. The arm turned into a liquid and surrounded them and they started to fuse in a black bubble. As the bubble circled the two gems energies.
Garnet and Amethyst recovered from the beat down and proceeded to fight. Garnet blocking all of it's attacks ans knocking the creature down with Ruby's strength. The bubble got bigger and looked like it was about burst. In that moment Amethyst removed the monsters tail. Once it was weakened the bubble was in no danger and busted. Only one being emerged from the tar like slime wearing a black cloche and four arms, but you could not see the face. Two gems were on the left and right hand an Onyx and a Pearl. Garnet and Amethyst froze at the sight as it looked like death itself. As it's poms opened and Pearl's spear and Onyx's Black Dagger fused together to make a Scythe. The lifeless fusion sliced the creature in half and poofs it as Garnet put it in a bubble and got rid of it. The fusion started to lose shape and Pearl and Onyx looked at each other with widened eyes. " What was that?!" Pearl screamed. Onyx said extremely confused " I don't know?". He grew woozy and passed out.
As he started to gain consciousness he started to here these questions echo threw his head. " Did he fuse with you?" and " Was that fusion?" they didn't know it, but he was just as confused. He hadn't been around any other gem so that was a first for him as well. He awoke the moon shining in his face, and Pearl sitting beside him as he laid frozen. " Hey..." Onyx said quietly to her. " Hey...How do you feel?" she said sullenly. " Well I've been better, but I'm worried about you." Onyx said a little louder. Pearl looked at her palm " What we did..." she paused " That wasn't fusion, me and you weren't there only our abilities." " Well we didn't exactly do the dance , but it was a primitive fusion." Onyx said. "Onyx?" Pearl interrupted. " Yeah?" he replied. " Are you lonely?" she looked him in the eyes as the moon shined on her. " What?" he said with a nervous tone. He paused for brief moments and then looked away " You felt it to?" he said. " That's all I felt that's why it wasn't fusion." she said. " Pearl I'm sorry I didn't..." his voice started to break and tears fell from both him and Pearl. " It's okay." she said calmly and hugged him and their gems glowed. " I'll never hurt you again." Onyx swore this to her. They stayed in the embrace until they both fell asleep under the glowing night sky.
