Finding Family
Aimee Grisham watched a television monitor at the match on screen, her brother Todd was calling the match with Jim Ross. Aimee had found out that she had a brother after tracking her birth mother down. Aimee had been adopted at birth but only decided she wanted to find out about her past very recently.
Equally Todd was shocked to find out that he had a sister, but he embraced her.
"Hey Sis." Todd said as he walked back into his office as he called it, bringing Aimee out of her day dream.
"Hey good job out there." Aimee responded hugging her brother
"I'm about ready to go back to the hotel if you are." Aimee said looking at Todd expectantly.
"I have a meeting with Stephanie, so I have found somebody to take you back to the hotel, Cody Rhodes is visiting so he has agreed to take you back." Todd said as there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," Aimee called out.
"Hi Todd, Aimee, if you are ready to go back to the hotel then the car is waiting for you." Cody said to Aimee
"Yeah, I'll meet you later at the hotel." Aimee replied to Cody as she said goodbye to Todd who agreed to catch up with Aimee later.
The ride to the hotel was reasonably quiet with the odd question thrown in here and there.
"So how are you finding the WWE?" Cody asked Aimee who was staring out of the window.
"It's different, when I found Todd, I didn't know anything about the WWE, he has taught me a little bit." Aimee said as she turned to face Cody.
They arrived at the hotel, Cody being a gentleman opened all the doors and made sure that Aimee was safely at her room.
"Thank you Cody." Aimee said as she turned to face Cody.
"Your welcome, I think Todd would have set Undertaker on me if I didn't take care of you. I was thinking while I'm in town would you like to go to dinner with me?" Cody asked.
Aimee thought about what Cody had asked when she felt a gentle kiss on her cheek and Cody walking away. Before there was too much gap between them Aimee blurted out:
"Yes, I will go to dinner with you."
With that, Aimee disappeared into her room happy and content and Cody smiling like a Cheshire cat all the way down the hall to his room.
