"3!"
I never intended this to happen, us to happen.
The room packed to the edges with Dalton boys was spinning and Blaine found himself in the middle of the crowd of blazers, searching for something. Anything.
"2!"
I'm sorry, I can't do this.
His eyes drifted across the room, landing on faces he couldn't care to notice. Because the one he was looking for was nowhere to be found.
"1!"
It's over.
Blaine felt tears forming in his eyes when reality hit him. Alone. He was not going to cry, not here. Not while he might still be there.
"Happy New Year!" The room roared. Blaine closed his eyes, as if not seeing would make reality go away. Even just for a while.
"Blaine."
And suddenly, a pair of lips locked to his and they fitted so perfectly, like they always did. They were meant to, after all.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." The other boy stuttered against him, his tearstained cheeks pressed against the crook of Blaine's neck. "I couldn't leave. Not without you."
Blaine throwed his arms around the taller boy, holding on as his life depended on it. And maybe it did. He was crying now too, not even bothering to hide it anymore.
"I thought you left me. I thought I was alone." Blaine cried into the warm embrace.
"You're never alone Blaine." Blaine felt hands tilting his head up to finally gaze into the eyes he'd been searching for all night. "Never. I'm never leaving you again."
Their lips met again and slowly moved together, ever so perfect as they always did.
Not alone.
And right there in Sebastian's arms, Blaine felt that those two words might actually be true.
