Note From The Author—I decided to do a companion piece to So Right, So Wrong because it's only fair that we get to know what DG thinks to right? So here it is and I hope you enjoy. Also, thanks for all the glowing reviews and encouragement on my first Tin Man story. I really appreciate it.
Disclaimer—I do not own the characters of Tin Man
DG's moral compass was incredibly accurate. She had always known right from wrong, and she had always done her best to do the right thing. When she had gone running into a group of longcoats with only a stick to protect her she hadn't really given it a second thought. Stopping them was the right thing to do, because she knew with every fiber of her being that what they were doing to Cain was wrong, even after she discovered it wasn't actually happening. She also knew that letting him out of the horrible metal prison he was incased in was the right thing to do, the only thing to do.
Even though she was a virtual stranger to the world of the O.Z, she knew that what Azkadellia was doing wasn't right, just as she came to know that it wasn't truly her sister meting out her horrible form of justice. Fighting to find the emerald was the right thing to do. Fighting to save the O.Z from the clutches of the witch and terrible permanent darkness was the right thing to do. Falling head over heels for Cain in the process was most assuredly the wrong thing to do.
DG could probably go on for hours listing the reasons that letting herself feel the way she did for Cain was wrong. It wasn't right by royal standards for a princess to love a Tin Man for one. The fact that he was twice her age also put quite a damper on the situation, along with the fact that he'd only so recently recovered his heart after eight annuals of unbearable torture.
Yet as plainly as she knew all of these things, DG just couldn't seem to help herself. For the first time in a long time she didn't really care that what she was feeling was wrong. Because when those hauntingly blue eyes followed her everywhere; when she threw herself into his arms again; when she finally felt Wyatt Cain's amazing mouth on hers for the first time every piece of the puzzle fell into place. Suddenly, all of the whys and why nots simply melted away, and all that was left behind was that incredible feeling of 'right.'
