A Christmas Confession

(Kagome's POV)
"Sango, where did Inuyasha go?" I was getting worried he had been gone for an hour already.
"I don't know why don't you go look for him?" she replied. I walked out to the Goshinboku, that was where he always went to think. "INUYASHA?" "feh" came his soft reply, it wasn't like Inuyasha to be soft. "Inuyasha what's wrong?" "." "Don't lie to me I can tell something is bothering you Inuyasha!" I also needed to tell him some thing.that s when he decided to come down. "Inuyasha can I talk to you? Would you like to take a walk with me?" "feh" after we had taken a few steps I began to talk "Inuyasha I know you still love Kikyo, but I. Aishiteru Inuyasha! I hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry" " for what?" he asked confused "Kagome you know how you had just asked me what was bothering me. It was the feelings I have for you. I felt guilty because I knew I had to avenge Kikyo's death but my love for you is stronger then any love I had for Kikyo, aishiteru. "Inuyasha" I was in awe I didn't know he loved me I thought I was just his shard detector! He put his finger to my lips to silence me, then he lifted my chin so we were looking each other and pulled me into a kiss. When we broke for air I couldn't help but hug him, he had made me so happy! "Inuyasha, does this mean I more than your shard detector now?" I said playfully, instead of answering me he brought his lips to mine for another kiss. It was as deep as love itself, I fell into a world of bliss. "Inuyasha I love you" "Kagome I love you more than you could ever imagine" "oh Inuyasha" I cried. "that was the best Christmas present I could ever receive" "it's Christmas?" he asked. "what's that?" "it doesn't matter" I said kissing him, he returned the kiss deepening it, that kiss was the best kiss either of us had ever had, it was the union of two soul mates who had found each other.
