Rosefur X PineFang
Rosefure broke out through the undergrowth, panting slightly. She looked around to make sure that the other cats from the hunting patrol hadn't followed her and, content that she was alone, took the opportunity to rest on a patch of dusty ground.
She ran through the events leading up to now in her mind; The two toms that had been assigned to hunt with her had pestered her the whole time. At first, it seemed sweet, just compliments of her beauty. It had quickly escalated, though, making her very uncomfortable and irritable. Had she stayed, she probably would have clawed their mouths off in an effort to keep them quiet.
She shook her head, wishing that she didn't have such charm to lure toms in. Sure, other she-cats might envy her, but she grew tired of all the attention. She lay her head on her paws, not realizing how tired she was until she had drifted off to sleep.
When she awoke, a pair of curious green eyes met hers. She stood up quickly, embarrassed to have been caught napping (Especially since she was supposed to be hunting)
"Oh, I'm sorry!" The tom apologized quickly. "I didn't mean to startle you." He sat up, trying to give her space without seeming like he was moving away.
"It's fine." She said, nodding to him. "Did you happen to see a hunting patrol go by here? I'm supposed to be with them." She asked, looking the tom over. She had seen him in camp before, and had heard his name once...What was it...
"Do you mean Oakfang and Vinetail?" He asked. "They came back to camp saying you had gone missing. I was sent out to find a...uh...Rosefur, I think. Is that you?" He seemed to ramble slightly, as if he was nervous.
"Yeah, that's me." She nodded, frowning slightly. They actually sent someone out to find me? Impressive.
"Well, they, uh, want you back at camp." He said, getting to his paws. "You should probably go now...they sounded worried..."
She nodded, turning towards the direction she had come from. "Are you coming?"
He shook his head. "No, no, I'll be coming back later."
She nodded, turning fully and heading back to camp.
