Sparky gripped her uncle's hand as she waited in the waiting room. It had been hours and the room was hot and parched. Her father told her it wasn't always this way. Her uncle on the other hand loved the hot parched weather. At least she would get to fare through this with her coming baby brother.
She smiled happily. She always wanted a younger sibling! Her uncle, though. He thought she was enough. In your dreams, Uncle Kai, she thought. She slid her hand down her unkempt long brown hair. "How much longer?"
Kai looked at his niece. He shrugged and Sparky was confused. "Does birth usually take this long?" Sparky saw Kai nod. "This is boring!" Sparky was bouncing in place. She couldn't go on much longer!
"Stop fidgeting!" Kai told Sparky in a scolding tone. "This isn't the first time and elemental master gave birth." Sparky looked at him. "Sureā¦." She scowled. "Wu never had a kid." Kai facepalmed. "This is out of all the elemental masters! I'm not saying anything about Wu having kids!" Sparky broke out laughing. "You get carried away too often!" Kai sighed. "So I do." Sparky smiled. "Yep!"
A nurse opened the door. "If you two will stop playing, you may see the baby." Sparky hopped up. "Yay!" Sparky practically dragged Kai over to the hospital room. "Hold on," Kai yelped.
Sitting in the hospital bed was Sparky's mother and her new baby boy. Her father was giving Kai a jokeful look. "Jay," Kai sighed. Jay shrugged. "What?" Kai shook his head. Sparky ran up to her mother. "What's his name?"
As she spoke those words, the baby opened his eyes. They were a dull sea green color. Soon after that, the window was pushed open by a strong breeze. Everyone including Sparky gasped. "Wind doesn't exist anymore," her mother stammered. "Perhaps it was the First Spinjitzu Master's gift to us, Nya." Jay looked at Nya with concern. Nya sighed. "It's the best lead we've got." Sparky was concerned for her little brother. "What's his name?"
"I've got an idea," Jay told Sparky and Nya. "Let's call him Jade. Jade Walker." Nya smiled. "I love it! It matches his eyes." Sparky grinned. "Welcome to the world, little Jade Walker."
