The Past
A very short little drabble about my favorite character... please R&R!

Reid, 11, A Las Vegas Public Park
I sighed and tried to concentrate on my book, but the shouts of glee and joy kept drawing my attention. I wanted desperately to join them, to feel like I belonged, but I didn't know how. I didn't even know how to play 'tag' the game the kids at the park most often played.
A girl started to walk in my direction.
"Do you want to play?"She asked. I didn't know what to say. I definitely did not want to admit that I didn't know how to play.
"Its okay if you don't know how to play. I could show you."She said and smiled. It was all I could do to stammer,"I'd like that."
"Come on then, the other kids want to meet you."
