Hello, everyone! So, this is the story I was talking about in my about section on my profile. It is still undergoing maintenance, however, I feel that it is time share the first chapter with you! Now, bare in mind, this starting chapter will be a little on the shorter side. Though, it does share a bit of insight over the matter of what the title of the book actually means.
Another thing! Yami is a bit of an edgy douchebag in this Fanfiction. He does swear a lot. I'm sharing that with you so that you can brace yourself for the onslaught of profanity. 'Cause, there is quite a lot of it. Though, that does play an important role in this particular book.
But without further ado! I will now let you begin reading my book!
I sincerely hope you enjoy it!
Chapter 1: Facing Reality
Have you ever felt out of place? Like you don't belong anywhere? Or for that matter, fit in with anyone? If you have, than you can certainly relate to Yami. The tri-colored haired teen tapped his pencil on his desk in what seemed to be a mix of frustration and agitation. They were staring at him again.
Out of the corner of his eye, Yami could make out at least three faces. Those three faces, were really starting to piss him off! Every time he would show up in this damn class those three familiar faces would stare at him. Non the too pleasantly either. A very displeased groan left Yami's lips. This is just fucking grand now isn't it?!
With letting out a huff of impatience, Yami decided to ignore the trio for the time being. Now with his mind preoccupied on the time, Yami allowed his eyes to drift upwards to the front of the room nearing the ceiling. His eyes landing directly on the clock. The sight made his heart clinch and his God forsaken stomach churn.
He's only been in here for thirty minutes...
This class lasted an hour and a half!
Fuck this shit! Yami needed to get out of the room now!
Without missing a beat, Yami threw his hand upwards in an attempt to get the teacher's attention. He was gonna ask the most cliché question ever! Yup! Yami was gonna ask to use the restroom... Logic be damned! Wait... That was totally random now wasn't it? Fuck it!
"Yes, Mr. Muto?" Upon noticing that he had succeeded in getting the teacher's attention, Yami wasted no time with asking his question. He also paid no mind to the stares he was currently receiving from everyone else in the room. What the Hell are they lookin' at? Y'know what?! That doesn't matter!
"Ah, yes! Ma'am, may I please use the restroom? It's an emergency!" Well... Y'know... He partly wasn't lying. He really did want to get out of this room stat! It was starting to unsettle the teen with how much attention he was getting at the moment. Though, that may have been a little of his doing. Considering the whole class was now focusing all of their attention on him. However! He didn't do anything to get the first three people to look at him! So hah! In your face, sucker!
The teacher contemplated for a second. Yes she was all too aware of the situation Yami was in on a daily basis, however, she was also aware of the fact that Yami liked to try and hide out in the restrooms for a good while in the hopes of taking some attention off of himself. Though, that never seemed to work.
The teacher continued to contemplate on the request for a little longer.
Why was it that students always think their teacher's are clueless as to what is going on in their classroom environment? Even though Yami has not come to her to talk about this one on one, she has noticed the strange behavior from day one. However, since Yami hasn't come to talk about this, she thought it was best to keep her distance from the situation. Which, in all honesty, that was the most dumbest mistake she could have ever made!
Her reasoning behind this decision was: If the matter isn't turning violent, than she mustn't have to intervene. Man... Get a load of this crap! C'mon! You're supposed to be the adult in this kind of situation! Get with the program, lady!
With finally reaching a verdict on her decision, the teacher finally allowed Yami to exit from his seat and begin to make his way over to the restrooms.
With an exasperated sigh of relief, Yami let himself close one of the stall doors in the men's restroom. Without having to actually need to use the bathroom, the eighteen year old let himself sit on the closed lid of the toilet. Now that he was finally alone, he began to allow his mind to wander. Which, that probably wasn't the best idea. Because as soon as he allowed that to happen, Hell replayed over in his mind time and time again.
Why was it so easy to lose a loved one?
See? I told you it was going to be short. However, I do hope that it at least was a little bit enjoyable! The next chapter should be published within a week. That is, if everything goes right.
But! With everything already having been said, I now bid you a farewell!
