Canon/Non Canon?: It could be canon since it does take place after Hollywood Arts, I suppose.
"Miss West, look over here!"
"No, over at the cameras this way, sweetie!"
"Please, a word for -"
Jade slammed the trailer door shut, though it did almost nothing to muffle the requests. The media was quite persistent, and their barrage of questions were causing her a terrible headache. They were always after her, trying to know everything about her life, acting as if they were a fly on the wall -
Jade stopped where she was for a moment. "Did I just quote Miley Cyrus?"
A dry chuckle came from behind her. "And how would you know if you were? Something you want to share, babe?" The careless grin, she could just hear it in his voice.
The black haired woman spun around. "What are you trying to say?" More words would have followed had anyone been there. However, there was no one. All she saw was an empty space.
Her arm fell. It was only her in here. But she had heard him and that meant -
Damnit. Just when Jade had thought she'd become better at blocking him out, too. Her lips drew into a thin line before she marched her way to the cupboard.
Crouching to reach into the bottom shelf, all that could really be seen of her was the blue wave among the sea of hair. Her manager wanted her to add more colours, purple and green, but Jade had told him that one colour was plenty. It was her hair and she'd do as she pleased. More colour would just make her look like a clown, and Jade West was no fool.
The stupid manager had said that it would improve her look. Jade had told them, screw it. She had enough fans, didn't she? And why did it matter about them?
Damn people. Why did she even put up with them? This was something she wondered for the millionth time as she got back up, bottle of whiskey in her hand. She didn't need them. She could have made it without them and then she wouldn't have to listen to them, or control how she acted with the stupid press, and she certainly would not be dealing with -
She did not finish that thought. Instead, Jade glared at the drink. The taste of fire down her throat was always followed by numbness. Exactly what she needed and exactly what she had come for.
It was why she drank down, her focus on blocking out the rest of the world, including her past. So much had happened, and had anyone been there, she may have admitted that she had more than a few regrets.
