So, I have now branched out into uncharted territory. The Fanfiction you are about to read was inspired by a movie I had recently watched the previous year prior to this one. At first, I was not so sure if I wanted to entertain the idea I had gotten from the movie. But after discussing the plot with my sister, she has encouraged me to put my thoughts on paper.
So, here I am.
WARNING: The following work is intended for mature audiences. The gore and the profanity will be nothing like you've experienced thus far.
I have put my blood, sweat, and tears into this Fanfiction. I would feel greatly honored if you end up liking this and decide to leave a review on it. Please, if you don't have anything nice to say... Just don't say anything at all.
Chapter 1: Meddling Nuisances
The blowing wind was brisk, it's soothing gusts of air blowing through the trees almost sounded like a distant lullaby. Like this maiden somewhere far beyond the desert dunes was praying an omen. Honestly, it sounded a little creepy. The melody had this sort of distort sound to it. Like it was strained, and whoever cast the lonesome sounds was in great pain.
Maybe that was the case...
Maybe somewhere unseen, this beautiful young being was suffering.
A grimace found it's way onto a beautiful, yet definitely sharp, pale face. As he swung his sword through this godforsaken rain forest, the pale man with the odd gravity defying hair continued to listen to the eerie harmonic sound. It soothed, yet angered him at the same time. His emotions were a jumbled mess as he tried to make sense of this current event.
His movements were slow, as he tried to not allow for his followers to stray too far away from him and potentially end up lost. A voice broke his train of thoughts, and before the pale man even realized what had happened... The forest almost seemed to bend, snap, and crackle with the sudden silence.
He brought down his razor sharp sword one more time on an almost innocent looking vine, before the leather clad man turned his attention to the voice that had broken him from his state of utmost concentration. He frowned once he had allowed for his eyes to look at the scene going on around him.
It looked normal for the most part.
But then again, there wasn't any such thing as normal in this damned world.
Delicate, yet very strong, fingers tightened around the handle of the broad sword. His instincts were starting to flare... This was not good, was it? No, definitely not...
They were catching up to them...
Server E31, has crashed. Requested data has failed...
"My love, please don't go out there! I beg you! It isn't safe!", The frightened woman in question tried to reason with the young man. Going beyond the walls was a death prayer, you basically commit to your own death once your feet lay on the other side of the wall.
Anyone and anything knows this much knowledge...
"I have to, Claire. He's out there, still... Probably lost, all alone, and afraid... It is my duty as a father to protect my family.", The man continued his words, though, this time he now faced the young woman. "I can't let our son face those heathens outside all alone like that...What if- No... I will not let that happen.", A few stray tears fell from the maiden's eyes, before there was a gentle stroke of a thumb from her companion to wipe them away.
"I love you...", a distant melody has begun to play...
"Please, don't go, my beloved...", A scratching has begun to sound... A holy death bed has been opened... Don't go to the light! For you will never return home!
"It wasn't supposed to end this way! Please, I beg you!", A siren has begun to play... The test subject is starting to break loose.
"This is my home! You're taking it away from me! I CANNOT permit that!", What- What is this?! These feelings are taking over! Make it stop! Make it stop! IT BURNS!
Server E31, has been booted back up. The alignments are shifting now...
Crimson eyes shot open. Blood trickled down the side of his head as he continued to lay where he had been knocked down at. His sword was nowhere to be found, but at the moment, the tricolor-ed hair youth could care less.
Blood shot eyes looked around the seemingly endless path of destruction. They were gone...
The bleeding teen tried to sit up, but when this burst of radiating pain raced up through his back, he decided it best to just stay where he was.
A shaky sigh left the pale lips.
He crimson eyes that had once shown with pride and confidence, only now carried sorrow and anguish. His travel companions were all murdered... Just like all of the previous ones...
Another grimace... Followed by tears flowing down the pale face could be seen through the machinery. When would this hell end? Would he be able to see them again? Or... Are they already dead now too?
The tears were flowing freely now...
Server E31, has now been locked. The dread and despair is starting to close in again...
Have you been filled with curiosity at this point? Oh, I hope you have! Because the drama has only just begun! As the story progresses, don't worry, things will begin to make sense.
If you enjoyed this chapter, than please leave a review! They never fail to make my day!
