Disclaimer: Still don't own Death Note. Darn it.

At some point in their lives, most men look in the mirror one day and wonder what in the world has happened to them. They stare at a lined, care-worn face, review the decisions they've made, the choices that have shaped them, and wonder where the heck they went wrong. How could this happen? Why did life have to turn out this way?

What had they become?

Not so with Light Yagami.

After all, it would do no good for Kira, justice, to look himself in the mirror every morning and wonder what sort of monster he'd turned into.

No. Kira was not like other men.

Instead, Light looked himself in the mirror that morning and wondered who should be the next to die. There were so many choices after all, and he only had a limited time in which to decide.

After L's death, things had become so much simpler. And yet, they'd become much more difficult at the same time.

But no matter. He would win, just the same. The world would stand behind him, support the new god of their new utopia. A world of peace. A world without murder, rape, robbery, lying, cheating-

-A world without evil.

It never occurred to Light Yagami, to Kira, to the second L, that such a thing was impossible.

A world without evil would be…

A world without man.

A/N- I don't know what it is, but these random drabbles keep popping into my head after a watch more of the show... This one was kind of abstract, but oh well. If you liked it, please review. Everyone knows that reviews are food for an author's soul. Thanks! -C.A.
