England's Cousin
Chapter 1
It was a calm morning in London, Arthur was outside in his garden enjoying a cup of tea and a plate of scones. The day was going to the Brit's liking nothing could interrupt this moment.
"Mr. Kirkland?" Arthur looked over to see a mail boy with an envelope with a wax seal.
"Yes?"
"For you it's from her highness" Arthur took the letter and opened it he read it to himself to his surprise he had a cousin. He was certain there were no-one else related to him…minus Matthew and Alfred but those two didn't count they were his sons.
"I have a twelve year old cousin?" he asked himself. He re-read the letter.
"Dear Arthur,
How are you my boy? I hope everything is going well. William and I are doing well. Recently we found something out; You heard of the Phantomhives right? Well the youngest and only living earl Ciel Phantomhive is your long lost cousin! His manor was burnt to the ground so he and his servants are staying over at your place. I'm sorry for the inconvience but you understand don't you? Take Care of him Arthur.
-Love
Queen Kathrine."
The Brit stared in disbelief but decided against protesting about it. He got up and took the trey inside before seeing to the guest rooms. He wanted to make sure that Ciel would be living comfortably when he arrived, though he had to wonder; How did the manor burn down? Various theories entered his mind one of them being the servants burning said manor down he was having second thoughts already
It wasn't until three hours later that he heard the doorbell rang, Arthur straitened his tie and jacket before answering to his surprise his cousin was a twelve year old boy. The boy had dark teal hair and blue eyes, his right eye covered by an eye patch. Behind him was a man decked out in black, red wine eyes, and silky black hair. "Ciel Phantomhive?" Arthur said with uncertainty.
"That is my name, Arthur Kirkland I presume?" The young earl said with a sharp tone.
"Yes that's my name, welcome." He said letting the two in. The duo walked in and looked around. Ciel nodded in approval so far his cousin had made the right impression, the mysterious butler nodded as well, only he was concerned with the way the place was kept. Everything was in order. Oh yes, the young earl was going to enjoy his stay.
"Would you like some scones Ciel?" Arthur asked handing the plate to Ciel.
"Yes some scones sound good right now. Thank you" Ciel took one of the scones, so far they looked good but the moment he took a bite. He dropped the scone and gagged.
"Wh-what was that?" Ciel screamed.
"Oh come off it, my cooking isn't THAT bad!" /On second thought/ Arthur thought to himself /Having this brat around might prove to be a challenge…hmm maybe I could drop him off at Matthew's place/
