The Snow Queen's Fate
AN: This is set after the Warner Bros. animated Snow Queen film and its sequel, the Snow Queen's Revenge, my interpretation of what happened afterwards, since it ends there and leaves it ambiguous. Is she trapped there forever or what?
The Snow Queen was running for her life. Her Iceosaurus had been struck down by Ellie, causing a volcanic eruption at her base in the South Pole. She ran along a path, but the ground beneath her crumbled and she fell with a shriek into the lava.
After the volcano erupted, the Snow Queen drifted through the river of lava, her staff in her hand, and both body and staff turned to stone. Her eyes glowed ominously.
She was unable to speak or even move. Last time she had been frozen, and her staff being returned had allowed her to break free. This time her staff wasn't doing her much good.
The heat was unbearable. Any human or animal would have died at once upon falling into lava. Being of ice element, she would have melted in the lava already, but her staff seemed to slow down its effects. This didn't change the fact that it burned a great deal. She hated high temperatures more than anything.
She waited impatiently for her trolls, Eric, Baggy, and Wardrobe, to come for her, though she wasn't quite sure what they could do for her. In any event, they had presumed her dead already and had left once and for all.
This cannot be the end, the Snow Queen thought. I'm the queen of cold! I cannot be defeated!
If she lived through this, she'd get absolute revenge on Ellie. No revenge Ellie could ever conceive of would come close to what she would exact upon her! She'd freeze her to death slowly, or feed her to her reindeer. If they survived the eruption, which she doubted.
To her horror, the Snow Queen's staff started melting along with her hand. Her eyes flashed light blue again, with anger and pain. She'd give anything for an extremely cold climate right now. Once she'd gotten her revenge on Ellie, she'd freeze the entire world this time and reign forever in eternal winter!
Slowly she continued to melt, and her eyes continued to flash occasionally. She wouldn't last much longer unless it got cold, fast! Curse that wretched girl, she thought. I'm going to put her through my ultimate revenge! And if I don't live through this, I hope I become a ghost so I can haunt her forever!
Faster and faster the Snow Queen melted, her rock form becoming one with the lava. This was it. This was the end for her. Despite her menacing song, Ellie had defeated her, and her plans for eternal winter and revenge were destroyed once and for all, as would she be soon.
The Snow Queen could feel the last life fading from her. By now only her head remained, melting rapidly. Maybe it was her imagination, but in her final moments she thought she felt a heat even more intense than the lava.
Her eyes flashed one last time, with skulls visible in her eyes for a split second, and then she was no more.
