Chapter 1: Vampire fanatic
"Hey Dipper?" The young boy stopped what he was doing and glanced over at his sister. "Uh, ya?" Mabel sighed as she flipped through the pages of one of her romance novels. "Haven't you ever wished to date a vampire?" She mused while laying on her bed. "Hm...let me think of it...no." Dipper said and continued to read journal 3 on his bed.
"What? No you gotta be kidding me! Vampires are hot! Why wouldn't you wanna-" A smirk then formed on Mabel's mouth as she closed her book up. "You'd rather date Wendy, wouldn't you?" This sent Dipper home. "Ha...Wendy? Pffft...as if!" Before he knew it, Mabel was right in front of his bed. "Admit it! You have the hots for Wendy!"
All of this made a blush form on Dipper's cheeks. "I-I guess, I mean..she's fifteen and I'm twelve...I dunno." Dipper mumbled. The sweater girl sat beside her brother and looked at him. "See, I knew it! Now..." She put an arm around him. "Imagine her as a VAMPIRE." This made Dipper blink a couple times before he made a disgusted face.
"Honestly that was the most disturbing thing I have ever thought of before." Mabel crossed her arms. "Yeah right Dipper. I've seen your internet history and let me tell you, I wasn't able to sleep for days!" Mabel laughed at her brother who seemed embarrassed. "How did-how'd you-" Mabel shushed him and patted his back. "Forget I even brought that up..."
Dipper opened his mouth to speak but Mabel was quick to cut him off. "Instead of reading that book of yours, why don't you try my romance novels!" The young girl held up several copies of her favourite books. "How about...'Fierce!' or 'Blood diaries' oohhh! What about 'Bat hair days!'
All of the titles made Dipper cringe. "Ew, I'll pass." He grabbed a hold of journal 3 and continued to read up on all of the strange things in Gravity Falls. "How could you ever pass up my choices! They're Fang-Tastic!" Mabel gasped at her brother. Maybe vampire's weren't for everyone. "Honestly Mabel, I'm in no rush to read about some Vampire's love life." Dipper rolled his eyes without looking up from his book.
"Oh and the secrets of Gravity Falls is more important?!" Mabel scoffed which caught her brother's attention. "Yeah, actually it is!" The room fell silent as the twins both thought of what else to say. "Look, I'm sorry Dipper. I just really want to meet a vampire hunk face to face." Mabel said with her a gloomy face.
"It's alright. Hey, to make you feel better, I remember reading about vampires in some part of the book." Mabel's smile returned at what her brother just said. "Really?! Lemme see!" Mabel wasted no time and jumped right on top of Dipper in excitement. "Augh!" The poor boy got the wind knocked right out of him. "Uhhh Mabel please get off!" Dipper gasped as Mabel apologized and got right off and sat beside him instead.
"Okay, it's on this page." Mabel snatched the book away from Dipper and began to read it. "Blah blah... they can be dangerous...pfft! As if...blah blah blah...Oooh la la look at this handsome hunk over here!" Mabel fanned herself dramatically and then pointed to a picture of one vampire.
"Mabel, didn't you read the whole thing?! It said that vampires are dangerous! Look!" Dipper pointed to a paragraph and read:
"Do not get close or even trust a vampire...ever! They may have good looks but they are by far one of the most menacing creatures of Gravity Falls."
Everything Dipper just read went through one ear and out the other. "All I heard was Vampires and good looks." She then skipped over to her bed and did a happy dance. "Yes! I finally will meet a vampire!" Dipper on the other hand got up looking flustered. "Mabel! Did you just hear what I just read?!" She was beginning to get on the young boy's nerves.
"Nope!"
Dipper groaned loudly and did a face palm. Leave it to Mabel to ignore everything he just said. "Well I'm going to bed!" Mabel jumped onto her bed and got under the covers. Dipper turned off the lights and did the same. It was all silent before Dipper spoke one last time. "Please Mabel. Promise that you wont run off and go looking for Vampires by yourself?" All of this was making Dipper worry for his sister.
"Of course I won't Dipper! You're right, I think I'll just stick with my romance novels and my posters." Dipper smiled at this.
"Okay goodnight Mabel."
"Night Dip!"
It was a good thing it was dark in the room otherwise Dipper would have seen Mabel crossing her fingers. She had no time to make promises. She wanted to meet a Vampire. And fast!
"See you soon..." Mabel whispered as she held one of her romance novels to her chest tightly.
Sneaky Mabel! Wonder how she's going to get away with it!
I wanna hear from you!
