Another Déja vu story, this time centered on Sirius. I chose the moment of James death and the time in OotP when Molly's boggart is a dead Harry. In the book Lupin realises it is a boggart straight away, but "Sirius was staring at the patch of carpet where the boggart, pretending to be Harry's body, had lain."

Sirius Black approached the house. He was sorry Hagrid hadn't let him have Harry. Poor, fatherless Harry. But the argument was lost, and Hagrid was following Dumbledore's orders. It didn't seem to matter much at that point. All he could really see was the house, collapsed in on itself.

James was in there, his best friend James, and Lily, lovely Lily, who James had been enamoured with since, well, pretty much since he met her. It seemed impossible that they could be gone. Almost without conscious thought, hardly noticing the tears that poured down his cheeks, the tears Hagrid's comfort did nothing to erase, he began to walk to the house.

The walls of the hallway were slightly slanted, the roof blasted open. There he was, in the midst of it all. James was lying in the dust and derbis. His glasses were askew, his skin pale and changed, without a doubt, he was dead.

Sirius blanched. He didn't know why he'd walked in here. He didn't want to see each horror. James was gone; he didn't know what he'd have done without his best friend. He didn't know what to do now. Sirius stood frozen and staring, hoping against hope that it was not true.

When he finally came to see his surroundings again, he didn't know what to do. He wondered if he should move the body. It was a while before his numb brain forced itself to work. He stood up and span into the suffocating folds of apparation. He didn't know where he was going, he only knew that he would find the one who betrayed his friend, and they wouldn't live much longer.

...

Sirius Black heard the yell from upstairs like the rest of them. It was Harry, Harry was yelling for Molly to get out. They were in danger. He was on his feet in an instant, numbly following Lupin, Madeye behind. He couldn't think what had happened. All he could really see was the door frame, his target, and he took those stairs as fast as he could to get to him.

Harry was in there, his Godson, Harry, and Molly, motherly Molly, who had a whole family relying on her for comfort, care and love. It seemed impossible that they could be gone. Sirius could not let that happened, he'd stop it. His legs didn't seem to move fast enough as they all rocketed up the stairs. He needed to get there quickly.

Then they had gotten there, Lupin pelted in first, saying something Sirius didn't hear. There he was, in the midst of it all. The body was lying in the dust and derbis. His glasses were askew, his skin pale and changed, without a doubt, he was dead.

Sirius froze. Déja vu was over whelming him. He didn't want to see this repeated. James was there again before him, lying dead on the cold floor. He didn't know what to do now. Sirius stood frozen and staring, hoping against hope that it was not true.

When he finally came to see his surroundings again, he didn't know what to do. It was Lupin who brought him out of it, realising this wasn't a body straight away. It was a while before Sirius' numb brain forced itself to work. He stood there while good old Moony jumped forwards. Suddenly his friend yelled something and the body changed shape. It was then he realised it had been a boggart. Lupin finished it off quickly and went to Molly Weasley. Sirius stepped forward and stared at the spot it had lain, trying to shake of the Déja vu.
