Said In Silence

By. Tate Icasa

(A/n: Let's just say I read one too many SanMir story's so I had to try one. . .and I have problems with romances and death. . .(What is it with me, deathfics, and silence?)

He was dying.

The was the plain and simple truth.

It was only a matter of seconds until the poison took him.

The Kazaana had been abolished only a few days before. And yet, here he lay, dying.

She had dispatched the demon who had poisoned him, and yet, it wasn't enough.

He was dying.

His face was pale.

Not that hers wasn't.

She was scared nearly to death for him.

For a fraction of a second, his blue eyes met her brown ones.

I'm sorry.

I forgive you.

I love you.

I love you too.

Don't leave me.

I don't want to.

She took one of his cold hands and covered it with her own.

He opened his mouth.

His lips formed her name, and yet no sound came.

But everything that was needed was said that day.

It was said in the silence, as he assed from this life. And in the silence after, when she chose to follow him.

Goodbye, my love, hello.
