A/N: Well I wrote this little one up as an assignment for English class. It maybe a little OOC, but I don't remember/know all that much about Kingdom Hearts. So be nice...
A Fool's Paradise

With one leg propped up on the branch, the other dangling off the edge, a boy with blonde, almost white hair leaned against the tree trunk. He admired the scenery he and his two friends called theirs. The island was a good distance away from the mainland, but that never bothered them.
He jumped off the curved branch onto the dock and made his way to the water. Standing there he could see nothing, but miles and miles of vast ocean. Hearing a giggle back on shore, he turned to face his two friends, a girl with light brown hair and a boy also with brown hair. Seeing them together brought back memories of when they were younger.
The three had dreamed of leaving their town and their island behind. Building a raft that would take them to the other worlds beyond their beloved ocean, traveling farther than any eye could see, even when standing at the highest point of their giant tree house.
They often pretended of fighting unknown evils, facing their imaginary foes with wooden swords or toy weapons. The innocence of it all brought a large smile to his face. A call from behind brought him out of his trance. His male friend was coming towards him, telling him to join them. He gladly accepted. With long strides, he thought, if only he knew when he was building the raft and playing with fake swords that in his near future, he wouldn't think of this place, this island as just a fool's paradise.
