Cadvan's POV on Maerad's confession.

Chapter One: The Conversation

I was sitting in the music room when I suddenly heard someone running past the door crying. Curiosity made me go see what the matter was. I could see Silvia, but couldn't see who the crying person was.

Silvia was in mid-sentence when I heard what she was saying, "- didn't mean to upset you, Maerad, but I thought that it was quite obvious." To my great surprise it was Maerad's voice, she was saying, "I know it's obvious, but I'm not ready to tell him how I really feel." Suddenly, I felt a tremendous serge of jealousy in the pit of my stomach that I could not explain. I need to clear my head to listen to what Silvia was saying with a smile playing at her lips. "When will you be ready? You are in love with that poor excuse of a man and every time he mentions love you shrink away from him, that isn't the best way to tell him that you're in love with him." Maerad said timidly, "I just get nervous, we've been friend since we first met and I think that if our relationship moves on, it'll make things awkward." I thought to myself Who is Maerad talking about, but quickly dismissed the thought.

As I heard them drift away, I walked out into the garden to think about the conversation that I just over heard. While I was walking I bumped into something, someone, Maerad! I hastily said, "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." For some reason Maerad blushed and said, "Well, I was looking for you, uh; I need to talk to you tonight, if that's okay." The thought came to me She's going to tell me who she's in love with. "Of course, you can tell me anything," my stomach dropping.
